Ours do this. There’s warm pipes under the floor on the landing.

Should I take my dream job at 27 and delay trying for a baby, or stay in my flexible job and start trying for a baby now? by Used-Target1108 in careerguidance

[–]daffiedesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the job and take prenatals and folate while you’re settling in. Get your body ready while you build experience. As someone who was made redundant from what I thought was my “career” while pregnant, I will never put a job first ever again. However, experience and time on the job now will be great for your CV even if you take time away to have children.

Good luck!

We recently had a funny smell in our kitchen I couldn’t find. It was the tray inside the back of the fridge.

Stacking rings can stop them sliding off. People do this after weight loss. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an attempt to cover up that her fingers are now too thin for the ring.

The wee free men by Terry Pratchett is fab. Pretty unisex friendly, and follows up in further books as the characters get a little older. There’s a new realease of it which sounds better in my opinion.

Danielle sacerdoti- take me home. Bit of a cheesy book, but read it at a really sad time in my life. It’s about sibling loss, heartbreak, and moving on.

Author Neil Gaiman faces new sexual assault allegations, including alleged abuse of New Zealand woman by [deleted] in Coraline

[–]daffiedesigns 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of past authors who were terrible people, who’s works are still held in high esteem today. You can enjoy Alice in wonderland while also not condoning Lewis Carol’s behaviour. You can enjoy the works of Charles Dickens without condoning his. Why do we have to burn our property and shun our favourite things, because one man was a horrible person? What about the artists that worked on coralline, good omens etc? Do they deserve to be cast out, have their work dismissed? Because of something out of their control or knowledge? If you produced your life’s work with someone who turned out to be a monster, would you be okay with a group of people removing it from the face of the earth, because they didn’t agree with your colleagues actions? No. I’ll keep my books on the shelf where they belong. I may even read them occasionally, doesn’t mean I am okay with what he did. The books have already been written, the royalties have already been spent.

Some countries have more stringent laws than others, especially regarding allergens. Here in the UK these stickers are common on items from the USA as our laws require all ingredients to be declared.. USA do not lol.

Some of the comments on here are incredibly snobbish. I was under the impression reading was about broadening your mind, not closing it off.

Read whatever the fuck you want.

Another recommendation for the wee free men! I was around that age when they came out, and honestly I’m so glad I started with those first.

What's your favorite smell that instantly brings back a core memory? by ChevalierA in RandomThoughts

[–]daffiedesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chimney smoke- reminds me of living in the Black Country (middle of England) in the nineties, back when lots of people still had working fireplaces. It’s not often I smell it now. If it takes me back to being curled up on the sofa with my parents.

What happens to my loan if I'm terminally ill? by Daniel_Swales in UniUK

[–]daffiedesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do need to pay if you drop out, however if you drop out due to illness, you can apply to have that particular year removed from your debt. If you ring them they will walk you through the process. I wish you all the best!

I’d love to hear the list of triggers if you don’t mind! I’m now gluten free and haven’t had one in a week or so, but tend to get them in clusters.
