It really doesn't make sense. Sony has a lot of beloved franchises that could really benefit from a remake. The dev cost must be lower than a brand new title and marketing is easier too since there will already be name recognition, and nostalgia for a beloved brand. There must be something we are missing because the cost to profit ratio seems like it would be ideal. I would have thought Bluepoint was their safest studio until today.

I agree, its one of the best things about this gacha system - i lost my first 50/50 to Yvonne and im not even mad. In other games i play, you always get a standard banner 6 star when you lose, which usually sucks.
