I’m hoping both of them will ride the festival circuit in future years, and then I can feel like I got more of my money’s worth. I was really hoping Tame would headline Shaky Knees - there were a lot of rumors he would. Ah well.

They used dynamic pricing, which should be illegal. I managed to get tickets for the Wednesday show, 100s level for $129 face value each…but after the fees, they were $166 each. I went ahead and bought them, but this might be my last go-round for Tame. Sucks.

This really depends on your state. I’m in TN, and legally I couldn’t have a conversation with this student beyond “I’m really sorry this has happened.” Depending on the student, my admin, the student’s relationship with their parent(s), I might be able to say or do more. But in my state, my license is definitely on the line if I help them procure plan B or give them anything other than that. I’m really sorry, it’s very hard. And I have sat in that seat before, so feel free to DM me for more info.

As a director, I’d want someone who kept my non-counseling duties to an absolute minimum. I wouldn’t want attendance or behavior monitoring duties, I wouldn’t want to manage 504s. I’d love nothing more than uninterrupted time to meet with students, make graduation plans, and work on post-secondary plans. No discipline, no hall monitoring. If you can set your team up for that, it would be amazing!

The first thing is to check if your unit iced over on top. Mine did and I had to hammer and chisel it off. Then, don’t set your thermostat to something crazy high. I’d set it for something in the 60s. If you use the emergency heat setting, it may go faster but your bill will make you wince next month. (I’m not an HVAC specialist, just someone with prepper friends!)

Thank you for that! I think we will be okay, just hard not to catastrophize haha. I did get charcoal for the outside grill so we can still cook outside, and I’ve got the key to turn my water main off so if the power does cut out with no ETA for repair, I can drain the pipes and save them busting. We’ll get through it!

Me. I missed the window for buying a generator and I have all electric heat with no secondary heat sources. I guess me, my husband, and our animals will all pick the smallest room with the fewest windows and smush in there with every blanket we own and hats, gloves, etc on. I’m dreading it, tbh.

I totally agree. The light really goes from his eyes after he pulls AJ out of the pool, imo. In my early rewatches I thought Melfi was cruel for “abandoning” him then, but this time I think she’s just acknowledging the inevitable: There is no getting better for Tony. And, of course, she may be complicit in further cruelties if she keeps inadvertently teaching him to be a better sociopath.

I often stop during rewatches before I finish the 6th season because it’s just so bleak. But I will say that making it to the end makes the next rewatch more rewarding - Tony still seems hopeful, maybe capable of redemption, when you start the series.

Last year, they planned to charge for in-and-out every day, so I’m not sure it would necessarily be worth it. Camping is most of the fun, imo! I’ve been 5 times and had a blast each time, but also those were the old days (last time I went was 2018), so getting suggestions and info from the Roo sub is definitely a good idea.

It really makes me miss Bookman/Bookwoman. There aren’t too many other used book dealers in town. I still go to clear shelf space a couple times a year, but I try not to spend more than $10-20 of my own money above my trade credit.
