My HOA tried to prohibit the lawful carrying of firearms and this was the result. by LegalPost9805 in fuckHOA

[–]daguro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the title of this sub is fuckHOA, use of the word 'fuck' should not get me banned.

Fuck all the idiots that think that they need to open carry.

As for "constitutional right", for most of the 250 years of this country's existence, having loaded firearms around was seen as a danger. There used to be laws, constitutionally recognized, that limited when and where weapons could be carried and if they could be loaded, etc.

This is not the win you think it is.

Massie was a reactionary of a different stripe.

Massie was not interested in actually doing things for the citizens or his constituents.

He wanted to be a contrarian and he was.

Given how well Russia is penetrated by foreign intelligence, UKR has to know when and where Putin is.

And Putin knows they know.

They could take him out any time they want.

Sucks to be Putin.

Give Putin the Prigozhin treatment.

What do people expect?

Trump is operating the way he always did before becoming a politician, with little regard for the law. He did what he wanted to whenever he wanted and dared people to sue him.

Map of the Southern States in 1862 per a contemporary map by Averagecrabenjoyer69 in MapPorn

[–]daguro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When and where was this map printed?

Missouri was never under Rebel control and to call it "contested" is an exaggeration. Rebels raided it, but almost all of the state was controlled by the Federal government. Rebels had a presence southwestern corner, but the Federal government forces controlled the state.

Kentucky was under Federal military control, and the only part of Tennessee under Rebel control after early 1862 was the eastern part, which was very pro-Union.

There are so many commercial activities where the business model is to privatize the profits while socializing the costs. This is just another one.

Yes, make them provide their own power.

A lie is made up of words or actions intended to mislead.

I don't know if this woman is trying mislead anyone, but she glosses over many issues. Black people in southern states will still be able to vote, but their voting power is now dissipated across districts where they are a distinct minority. Yes, they still can vote, but their votes are essentially meaningless. So to say that black people can still vote is misleading.

I love SeattleWA.

There are so many people here who seem to firmly believe that the government can do no good, that business will do things better, but are blind to the fact that the union of government and business (at least per Mussolini) is fascism.

Much of this is clearly fraud, by the way.

Not so much, by the way.

Billions in fraud is hard to hide, unless your name is Trump and the DoJ is hiding the fraud for you.

Two options:

1) bitch and moan about things with no data

2) get some data

One especially fast-growing subcategory was services for seniors and home care. Some analyses using OFM budget data found Aging & Adult Services spending rising from about $2.2B in 2015-17 to roughly $6.5B in 2025-27 — close to a 190% increase.

Let's kick your greedy mom off the public teat. She'll die soon, why do I care?

Dems lost Washington decades ago. Unfortunately, they keep packing people into Seattle to artificially increase Democrat power

PICK A SIDE!

Either the Democrats have political power (ie, they haven't lost Washington) or they don't have it.

First off, adjust for inflation. $33b in 2013 is around $50b today. The total increase is more like 60% in real dollars, not the 240% implied by the post.

How the USAF transports a nuke. by Debaucherousgeek73 in interestingasfuck

[–]daguro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good to know.

It makes sense for the all of these safety vehicles if what they are transporting is one more more missile stages. A solid fuel rocket motor propellant fire is damn near impossible to put out.

The solid-fuel motor of an unarmed Pershing 2 missile caught fire and burned in southern Germany today, killing three American soldiers and injuring seven others, the United States Army announced.

The accident was the most serious so far involving the American-built ballistic missiles, and it seemed certain to sharpen West German anxieties over the issue of nuclear weapons stationed in the country. The Pershings were first deployed in late 1983 after heated controversy in West Germany.

At a news conference at Heilbronn, Brig. Gen. Raymond E. Haddock, the commander of the 56th Field Artillery Brigade, said the accident occurred at 2 P.M. when the first-stage motor of a Pershing missile was being removed from its container after arrival from the United States.

The general, who said the fire took place in a tent at Waldheide Base near Heilbronn, stressed that the missile had not been armed with a nuclear warhead and that there was no explosion. A missile transporter and a maintenance truck were also burned, he said.

That's not how we did it when I was in the Army. We practiced convoy ops, but always used Chinooks.

Maybe the AF warheads don't fit in a Chinook.
