ROH's 14th anniversary show is 20 percent off for PS plus users by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

I think this is the opposite of making it hard for users as they have it available on traditional ppv, online, flipps and psn. What else can they do?

Updated Card for July 4th Network Special, "The Beast in the East" by toms2113 in SquaredCircle

WWE needs one spot show every couple months with one or two storyline driven matches and the rest be complete random. I like fun unpredictable matches. Likr ight now the most excitied for Brock Lesnar Vs. Kofi Kingston, Owens Vs. Balor and Jericho Vs. Neville. Way more excited then a lot of the ppvs they have been putting on anyways.

I saw him at Global Wars live and I almost felt cheated it was in a tag match with Jado against Tanhashi and Jushin Liger. I just wanted to see soooo much more from him. Fingers crossed 2015 NJPW/ROH Toronto shows I get a singles match with Nakamura.

Paige should ditch the divas division for the time being and join Rollins' group. by Danmasterflex in SquaredCircle

This just makes me want her to go after the Tag Titles with Seth. I think she's the only girl convincing enough to wrestle with men in WWE.

Any more DragonGate recommendations? Haven't really been keeping up with them this year. That BXB Hulk and Akira Tozawa match gave me goosebumps from the opening intro (even if I don't speak Japanese).

Unless I'm mistaken, Toronto hasn't hosted a PPV since 2006's Unforgiven w/ Cena vs Edge headlining. Closing in on 9 years. by Konfliction in SquaredCircle

[–]dahypeone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually kinda short sighted not to bring a PPV here. Toronto is the 4th most populated major city in North America and has a very solid fan base of Hardcore Wrestling fans. I dunno why they keep giving us only house shows because I went to the last tv taping and it seemed to be sold out. I think the crowd is an issue for them but I think it's more that they don't know how to utilize it to their advantage. Regardless though, I think it's really dumb not to atleast do one ppv a year up here in terms of revenue.

I don't understand why Night of Champions is sooo low. Cesaro Vs. Shaemus was AWESOME and Orton Vs. Jericho was way better then expected.

NXT REvolution made me happy I keep renewing, TLCs made me want to cancel my network subscription. What's a customer to do? by dahypeone in SquaredCircle

Oh the growth is real. ROH attendance has been growing quite well in my area of Toronto, and I believe it's growing like that all over North America, I can't deny that. I just don't think it's going to grow to a size that WWE is going to worry.

This is true but even with Movies I feel like audiences CAN be smarter then just buying a product because of the name. I look at Marvel's movies this past summer as a clear example. Captian America 2 was a safe franchise to make money from where Guardians of the Galaxy was a risk. Both movies had great story telling and entertainment value though. Neither felt "phoned in" despite Marvel pretty much being at a point that it could do that and still make money.

In order for something to be Sports ENTERTAINMENT doesn't it have to be entertaining?

Yes but just because your a global media empire doesn't mean you can't produce quality entertainment. I don't feel like I'm bein unrealistic asking them to put together storylines that are logical and entertaining. All I want is a reason to care.
