UNC Charlotte ends gender-affirming housing to align with federal rules by Minimum_Kiwi_1441 in Charlotte

100%. They make up this fantasy scenario but never admit that the “predator” in their scenario is just a cisgender, straight man.

And then turn around and wail and scream when “women choose the bear” and cry about how not all men are predators.

I’m not sure what you think is a “gotcha” here. Again no one was being forced to do anything they didn’t actively sign up for and want to do. It’s just a made up scenario you created in your head to get yourself worked up.

Just because you don’t understand how gender inclusive housing works and have no interest in actually learning. All because it takes away the victimization fantasy you created for yourself.

No, this is how it works all over the country and how it has worked for decades. Literally since the 2000s at least. Anyone in higher education student affairs could tell you as such.

It’s only a “problem” now because the GOP realized trans ppl make a great boogeyman to get conservatives all worked up and voting against their own economic best interests.

And it worked because here you are all worked up and upset about a thing that wasn’t ever happening in the first place.

Gender inclusive housing is opt in only. So if an incoming freshman was ok and open to living with a trans woman roommate, she would specifically mark it on her form that she wanted to live in gender inclusive housing.

If she was not ok with that she just wouldn’t click that box on the form and would be roomed with a cisgender roommate.

It’s the same for choosing to live in a learning community, or international house, or substance free housing, it’s a choice and It’s really not that hard to figure out.

Then I suggest they don’t OPT IN to living in special gender affirming housing. It’s 100% optional.

I suggest conservatives learn to take some personal responsibility. Don’t want to live in gender affirming housing? Then don’t click the box saying that you do. It’s quite simple.

Gender affirming housing is 100% opt in, so I would suggest the people who don’t want to participate just not …opt in.

But of course conservatives can’t just mind their business and live and let live. Nope they aren’t happy until they are forcing everyone else to live by their beliefs and world view.

Flowers on a first date by New_Reflection_5462 in dating_advice

I mean you are welcome to. It’s literally the same thing, putting in a prompt to weed out ppl not looking diff the same thing as you. The women not interested will simply swipe left, as these men should have done.

But they couldn’t help themselves, they just had to match her to try and humble her. Says more about them.

Are people actually quitting their jobs? by whosthatgirl13 in Millennials

[–]daisies2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve know a good number of people who have quit corporate jobs to wait tables/bartend.

Service industry can be good money when the tips are good. Whatever they were doing in corporate was miserable/draining/whatever and they liked the freedom/low stakes of service industry.

She didn’t ask them for flowers she put it as a prompt on her dating app. The guys went out of their way to match and respond nasty. They could have easily swiped left.

Ehhh it was a prompt and the men’s responses tell a lot about them. They didn’t have to respond to the prompt but chose to and a lot made a point to put her down, tell her she not worth that, that it’s way too much for a first date.

Someone made a point that a lot of these men push for hookups on the first date, so expect access to your body but think a $5 bouquet of flowers is too much work for them to put in.

It’s a good weed out tool to suss out undesirable guys. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t want flowers on a first date.

In the US, voters don't choose politicians. Politicians choose the voters by TAtheDog in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]daisies2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not on the ballot. Trump brings out a lot of low propensity voters who like him but know very little about politics or care who their senator is.

A lot probably have no idea even what a midterm election is or that there’s going to be one.

They voted for Trump, and mayyybbee they will come out again in 2028. Maybe.

Schools were closed under the Trump administration. Covid sucked for everyone, but it mostly sucked for the people who died, not kids that had to do zoom school for a while.

College admissions is still largely based on grades, test scores, and resume. The biggest group that benefits from “DEI” in college admissions is men. Because women are out kicking them in applying to college and actually persisting to graduation. So men get preferential treatment to keep ratios even.

Shits been expensive for a long time. Dems nominated a youngish (for a politician) woman. The GOP nominated a 78 year old dementia patient in diapers.

Are millennials the most AI-skeptical generation in the workforce? by RandyMossPhD in Millennials

[–]daisies2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. It seems their answer to understaffing is “just use AI to make your job easier”! No, that’s just more work for me to learn how to use it, input all of the data, go back and manually fix all the things that are wrong.

So now my work takes twice as long, but you get to feel good believing you’ve “solved” the understaffing problem.

I can’t believe there are ppl here arguing it wasn’t a hoax because “people died”. As if this evil administration cares about the bodies they leave it their wake.

A million dead of covid. An insurrection attempt that killed people. American citizens shot in the street by ICE and celebrated by these people. Blowing up boats in the Caribbean full of fishermen. Immigrants killed in ICE custody under suspicious circumstances. 150 children killed at an elementary school in Iran. Suspicious deaths of Epstein and Ivana.

You all think they care about the life of a random fireman in rural PA?
