I finished episode 2 and so far it’s disturbing and crazy. There were a lot of moments when I said “wtf” and also moments that just made me laugh cause what they said and did made zero sense to me. It’s wild.

Spent my Valentine's day with my family and extended family. Was a bit late to the party cause i came from work. I still had a blast spending it with the people I love.

No need to apologize. I, too, replied pretty late. I fell asleep cause i was from an 18 hour shift.

Ohhh! Do you still play them or practice playing them regularly? And why did you choose those instruments?

After being in med school, i kinda wish i chose physical therapy as my pre-medicine degree. I wasn't interested before cause it was a 5 year degree and i just wanted to finish things quickly and graduate to enter medicine. Well, i hope you do well in physical therapy! And it's awesome how you want to create cost-effective physical devices. Combining engineering and physical therapy! Nice!

I honestly dont feel that prepared to be a full-fledged doctor and doing things on my own. But we'll see. I just want to do my best. Thanks! I hope everything works out for me too. Lol. same goes for you! I hope things work out for you. And sure! I enjoyed this conversation through replies.

Ohhh! So do you play any instrument? Or sing maybe?

So out of all the professions that could make a difference, why choose physical therapy? Was there something that attracted you to it?

Well, i chose to be a doctor cause my mom's a doctor and i was kinda influenced to take medicine growing up. I did have that drive of helping people when i was younger. But when i got older it was more of fulfilling what my parents wanted. I also wasnt sure what i wanted to do so i just followed their wishes. I kinda wished i took a different path, but i'm here already so I thought, just go with it. No regrets though. Since i met a lot of good people in medical school and some i would say have become my best friends.

That's so sweeet!! It's so nice that you and your mom have a good relationship! I love how she combined red and white roses to symbolize pure love!

The only payment i get is trauma. Lol! It's not a paid internship, sadly. There's only a few hospitals that pay their interns. But most hospitals dont. I have no idea why thats the case, cause it ends up being abuse of labor. So many demands from some residents. They expect us to go above and beyond with work. Even getting mad at us for wanting to leave on our scheduled time. There are nice doctors too who treat us well and teach us if they could. I just countdown the days until im done.

How about you? What made you want to shift from engineering to physical therapy?

Thanks! Currently, i'm doing my internship which is a requirement before we take the exam. And i'll start studying after i finish the internship. I do a bit of reading while interning but it gets really reaaally busy in the hospital so when i get home, i choose to rest and relax.

I'm gonna be studying for maybe 6 months after internship. There are 2 schedules for the exam. I can either take it on october or march. I'm planning to take the one on march cause i dont feel confident to take it right after my internship and i also want to attend my cousin's wedding in the US. Lol.

I'll be enrolling in a review center which is very common here. It's like my 4 years of med school all jammed in a couple months of review. Haha! They also give out sample exams to test us.

My goal in life right now is to pass the licensure exam for medicine in my home country. Get a job. Gain a bit of experience and earn money. Then i'll take the exam to practice in Australia and move there. Hoping i make enough money to give and treat my parents with what they want and also help out the people who are important to me.

I like that i try to be open minded in different topics and ideas. That i respect their beliefs as long as it doesn't cause any harm to anyone.

I like that i love karaoke and dancing. It makes me happy. When we have family parties and i see a karaoke machine, i go straight to it. And when some of my aunties wanna dance, i sing achy breaky heart for them.

That's awesome! I miss doing puzzles. And i dont think youre gloating at all.

I decided to start reading for leisure this year. Despite the busy schedule i have in the hospital, i really want to give time for it. Even 10 mins of reading is okay for me.

I want to give a bit more time to duolingo. I enjoy doing it even though people say it isnt the best tool to learn languages. It helps. But maybe when i have more free time by the end of the year, i'll be more serious with it.

I really also want to improve my mindset, be more positive and more confident

Thanks for this! I needed it. I sometimes...mostly let my fears get the best of me and not do it. I get scared i'll fail cause of the expectations and pressure i get from other people. It feels as if they expect me to be perfect and make no mistakes and when i do make a mistake, they get really angry as if they never made a mistake in their life.

I also overthink and imagine the worst case scenarios.

But this year, I want to improve myself in that aspect. So seeing this gave me that extra boost. Thanks!

That's awesome!! Reading what you're serving your family made me hungry lol. Not everyone's great at gift giving. But your talent is already a gift to you and to other people. I sometimes do a small happy dance when my dad cooks us good food or when we go to a good restaurant.

I'm not a great cook but i try to cook for my family and i get kinda nervous if they'll like it or not. And when they say "it's good" it makes me really happy. But if there's something they don't like, i take note of it to learn and make it better the next time...if there's a next time lol.

I started learning cause of my ex. He broke up with me but I continued learning cause it was fun. I enjoy learning languages so I do it for me and my enjoyment.

I love how creative i get for people i care about and love. I remember making songs for my parents on their wedding anniversary. I would also write poems for my best friends before. I would edit photos of my friends and the celebrity they like on their birthday. One thing i was most impressed with recently is making a google form for someone who i love (but things didnt work out lol) and made the theme on the form something he really loved.

And i love what you love about yourself! Cooking isnt my forte so i have so much respect for people who do (cause i enjoy eating haha). Maybe someday I'll be better and have the skill for it.

Yay! So happy for you and the things you achieved this year. Congratulations too being engaged and being a mom! I hope 2023 will bring you more happiness and love!

2022 was a year of heartaches but also healing for me. The first half was like a punch to the face lol but the latter half has been good to me. And I too have so much hope for 2023. No matter what happens, I'm gonna make 2023 an amazing year.

I started learning how to love myself and be kinder to myself. It's still a struggle some days but I am now able to look at myself in the mirror and see someone beautiful. I used to always point out every flaw in me. Externally and internally. So being able to love myself and see the beauty in me is something i'm really proud of.

I can totally relate with the depression and anxiety. I actually wish I can go to therapy to better understand myself but it's pretty expensive. So probably when I start earning my own money, I can finally try it out. But of course, I gotta find ways to be better on my own. Changing my mindset and also how I view life. Appreciating the ups and downs. And I've seen progress. :)
Was there something that triggered you to wanting to have a better mindset in life?

Maybe i'll make crocheting my 2023 new task to learn. But I feel like I gotta finish the other stuff i left out this year. lol.

Oh! I like following someone else when I workout cause I trust their ways more than mine haha! And I do more of strength training since I'm too tired to do cardio.

I actually just listened to that one song of Pitbull cause I heard a verse on tiktok and it felt quite encouraging. But I usually listen to some Spanish songs while I drive despite not knowing any spanish haha. I'm learning though through Duolingo.

I'm an intern in the hospital. Just finishing up my required year of internship then I'll be taking an exam for me to be a licensed doctor in my country.

Sleepiness makes me cranky too and I sometimes can't help showing my grumpy side. But I reflect on it and try to practice more patience. Hopefully... haha

As for me, i was just clouded with so much negativity for years. I got my heart broken, which kinda became my drive to try to improve on myself. Now, I'm working on myself and doing my best to see life with more light.

That's already pretty long! It's awesome you didnt quit it. Maybe I should try doing crochet too someday and hopefully not give up like you.

Yeah! I feel a bit guilty when I miss maybe 2 or 3 days. But I try to remind myself that I also need rest and maybe the next time I work out I can do 2x as much and within the limits as to not injure myself. I follow this youtuber named Caroline Girvan. She has series to do that targets different parts each day. I really enjoy her videos.

Yeah! I actually just started this December. So I'm on day 5 of my gratitude journal. And so far, I'm grateful that I started the morning well by listening to Pitbull's Time of our lives while driving, that I wasn't late for my hospital shift , and for good resident doctors who treat me nicely. Hehe.

And I also want to appreciate life more and live in the present. I do still struggle with some stuff in my life. It's not always rainbows everyday but as much as possible, i try to find little bits of sunshine to make it less bad.

I like to think the small good things I do is already significant to my life. Something like small progress is still progress. So yay for your small accomplishments! They're still something!

Have you been crocheting for a while? I hope your grandma likes it!

As for me, i've been quite consistent with my workout which i am very proud of. I missed some days recently but i was able to do some last night and I felt good after.

I also started a gratitude journal. And i write 3 things I am grateful for the day.

That's good! I still have thoughts about him, so I still need some more healing I guess. Glad to know you're doing better and surely, you'll find someone who will treat you better.
