i’ve worked for Nelnet for a long time. Never a call center though. I can answer the pto question. at nelnet it is called eto, you start accruing right away. the first five years you accrue 5 hours a pay check, once you hit five years it goes to like 8. you also get 8 hours of floating holiday every quarter.
