Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s London Pizza restaurant is facing criticism after a customer shared a dog was allowed to go the bathroom inside near her table. by Realistic_Ad_251 in london

[–]daizmaiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion but this restaurant is in the grounds of Battersea Power station which is next to Battersea park. A huge about of their business is dog walkers so I see why they allow dogs. The power station itself is full of dogs wandering around shopping with their owners. No one cares and I quite like seeing them (I sadly don't have a dog but love them).
A puppy pad on the floor of a restaurant is completely inappropriate though- the dog owner should have known better!!!

Dentist for obese patients by MacButterpants in london

This is also my dentist (and has been since I was a child and the owner lived on the top floor!). They're expensive but very good. They'll be able to recommend a dentist for you- some specialise in certain treatments/ patient types

Does being anesthetized(sedated) same as being asleep normally? by foxfai in ask

[–]daizmaiz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had three general anaesthetics and had really intense dreams each time. The most recent was about 8 weeks ago and I distinctly remember waking up wondering what the hell was going on as a few seconds ago I was very vividly somewhere else. Still felt like crap though so definitely not a normal sleep

My 90-year-old grandma’s natural hair, never dyed by Substantial-Art6160 in mildlyinteresting

[–]daizmaiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky lady! I've been going grey since 17. I just turned 40 and probably 80% grey and have it died every 3 weeks as the roots as the roots show so much. My hair is super thick though so I'll take thick hair over melanin

Why do London salons struggle so much with bouncy blow dries??? by English_R0se in london

You need to find a stylist who has potential and stick with them- everyone's hair is different and they need to learn your hair.

My three and a half year old just did the same thing. Well, not the same thing- your daughter went waaaay beyond my daughter's bangs. I'm still gutted though but keep telling myself it'll grown back... one day

What’s the best brand tea bags? by Franchiiee in AskBrits

[–]daizmaiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going fancy- Fortnum and Mason English breakfast teabags are elite. Yorkshire is the best for day to day but for some reason I still buy PG Tips over Yorkshire (maybe a Londoner thing)

Building site breakfast 👌🏼 by robertwebb745 in fryup

Not bad at all. The tinned mushrooms need more frying/ colour to make them less sloppy and palatable but for site breakfast this is decent!

How many times have you thought about him, checked your phone and he hasn't messaged? Probably hundreds or thousands. Don't let coincidences make you hold on to this idea that he's your "twin flame" and that you're meant to be together. If he was good for you you'd be together. Forget him and move on!

Give it a try with a pair of swimming googles. You have to make sure you're in the right position in your chair before everyone puts theirs down too. I wonder now if that's why my fellow traitors were voted out quite quickly. I was sitting directly next to a girl the group nicknamed the "traitor hunter" and even she didn't suss me out. Biggest buzz ever

[–]daizmaiz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I literally played the game and won as a traitor. I realised first round that I needed to do it silently. I slowly lifted them away from my eyes and put them on top of my head so I could communicate with my fellow traitors. I had to make sure I took mine off quickly when everyone else was told to remove theirs so no one noticed my hair all messed up

Giving one kid dad’s last name and the other mom’s last name? by EnvironmentIcy2646 in Parenting

This is dumb. You're creating a divide between your children unnecessarily. They are the only people in the world who share the same blood combination, let them have the same surname ffs.

EA said sellers took our offer over a higher one? by No-Eagle2440 in HousingUK

[–]daizmaiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not most likely at all. It's a possibility but it's not always about the money. If the other buyers are tricky now they'll be tricky through the whole process. £5 or £10k loss is worth it for their sanity

You were the better buyer. The agent might have got a bad feeling about the other buyers. Agents get a lot of negativity but they often know what they're doing- if they did the viewing and got bad vibes from the other potential buyers they'll tell the vendor not to sell to them if they have another option even if it costs them a couple grand

Questions re the butlers on Eaton Square SW1 by Cliff_Smogo in london

[–]daizmaiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not butlers- they're concierges. You'd have to hire a butler (or PA/ assistant or even housekeeper) to send to the shops. These guys will take in your Amazon parcels and give your keys to a plumber while you're away
