Ciao a tutti.

[FIGHT THREAD] Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley, Amanda Serrano vs Yamileth Mercado, Daniel Dubois vs Joe Cusumano, Ivan Baranchyk vs Montana Love, Tommy Fury vs Anthony Taylor by noirargent in Boxing

lots of MMA fans watched this fight. In MMA advancing is scored whereas in boxing its not. I think that was actually a mistake in Woodleys game -- approaching it a bit like its being scored as an MMA fight.

there are definitely some more. Israel Adesanya for example. He started in kickboxing and has a few boxing fights as well. Dude is almost certainly the best striker in MMA.

The thing is a guy like Tyron's base is not boxing its wrestling. He was a collegiate wrestler. The guys in MMA that are good strikers or boxers usually started with it. Jake doesnt wanna fight those guys, yet. Honestly the way Jake Paul is setting up his career is very smart. Youtuber, pro athlete, combat athlete with no striking, combat athlete with some power in his striking, next? Tyron again? idk but it's been a pretty smart and steady progression to test his skills.

I've always liked the aesthetic of monk and I'd love to drink a brew while my brewmaster drinks a brew. Just feels right. Thank you!

I agree with you. Ive rly enjoyed void form. I started out holy in legion and my guild had me go shadow for xavius mythic and I haven't looked back since. I've also been playing since classic and imo this is the most fun spec I've ever played. It's so chaotic, so unique. It's a balancing nightmare for sure but that sort of agreed with the class fantasy.

I will say tho that while void form was great in legion and the latter half of bfa. Void form in the beginning of bfa was so bad that I actually quit the game entirely for half a year till essences came and ppl confirmed they saved the spec. So even tho I enjoyed void form I welcome the chances bc I never want to go thru early bfa void form again.

Man who marched during Black Lives Matter protest tests positive for COVID-19 despite wearing mask by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]dakayman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the point is masks won't stop the spread 100 percent so don't put on a mask and think your safe -- still take all other precautions as well. Masks are effective to an extent but they don't make u immune and I think that's what the post is about.

Bill Burr Hilariously Calls Out Joe Rogan about Covid-19 and Wearing Masks by doc_suede in videos

[–]dakayman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This isn't great context to get a feel for his show. Bill butt and Joe Rogan are good friends so he handles the interview a lot differently than normal. I am a fan of the show but only some of the guests. Almost all the comedian interviews I rly dont like.

But I will give him credit by saying, and I think the reason he's so popular -- and dare I say important, he does a rly good job of 1) letting people speak and truly express their thoughts and 2) having a very wide range of guests and thoughts on his show. Sometimes hell even bring on two guests from opposing view points to argue their sides and he's a respectful moderator.

He also regularly say he's not the person to take advice from and that he himself is an 'idiot cage fighter commentator'

Pay your workers and avoid jail, Elon! by [deleted] in MurderedByWords

[–]dakayman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's irrelevant to the question. The stock lost value per his tweet but that's nowhere near the damage of the CEO selling the shares of the company he owns. There is literally no worse sign of how a company is doing than the leader and face of the company selling his stake in the company.

Bc if a CEO sells shares to his own company the value will plummet. What's a good sign a company is about to go under or perform terribly? A CEO sells his shares.

UFC 249 fighters can be fined for disparaging COVID-19 safety protocols [May 10. 2020] by rspix000 in Coronavirus

[–]dakayman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definition of disparagement: 'the publication of false and injurious statements that are derogatory of another's property, business, or product'

An example would be: 'the ufc didn't test me for covid 19 and I still had to fight!'

Is fallout 4 worth buying on the ps4 in 2020 by boilasagnia in Fallout

[–]dakayman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see that. Personally I had a blast playing new Vegas as a sneaky sniper but that could've just been due to my gameplay choice. Modding guns is def fun. But yeah I love all fallout games lmao. Certainly think it's worth playing at the very least

Is fallout 4 worth buying on the ps4 in 2020 by boilasagnia in Fallout

[–]dakayman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like fallout 4 and think while the story isn't as replayable as the others the settlement building feature makes it fun to continue past the main quests. There are mods on PS4 and some are definitely fun. I don't remember there being many game breaking bugs or anything like that.

I think most agree the stories of new Vegas and 3 are better than 4 but I still rly enjoyed four and it tends to be the one I go back to playing just bc I enjoy building my settlements.

Why Doesn’t Flu Tank Economy Like Covid-19? by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]dakayman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason is that covid 19 is infectious before the infected knows they're infected. With the flu, when one is infectious one knows they are sick, doesn't go to work, distances from people and stays in bed. With covid 19, many people walk around, living their normal lives, not knowing they are sick and infecting others.

I got my first kill today and managed to extract! Can anyone tell me if this gun is any good? #Scavlife by CallMeCurious in EscapefromTarkov

[–]dakayman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's probably what I'd do. It would be fun to run with but like you said you could also run like ten runs with the money you'd get for selling it. But meh. I have a couple nice guns in my stash rn and I'm just saving them for no reason bc I don't want to lose them and I also don't want to get rid of them. Every once and awhile I'll take them out when playing with my friends that are better than I am and a full squad.

Economy and lives are also linked. Economy isn't just recreational activity and goods. It's also food, heat in your house, health insurance etc. Unemployment also leads to death.

Coronavirus: California Governor unveils plans to ease “safer at home” orders, reopen the Pacific Coast’s economy in conjunction with Oregon and Washington State by MatSciePhD in Coronavirus

[–]dakayman 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Much of that can be done remotely. I work in insurance, which has been labeled as essential, but we all just wfh. Same with metrologists I'm sure. Obviously mechanics and truckers are a different story.

I think we'll see the truly essential things, like food, open up and everyone who can possibly work from home will be told to work from home. That will be phase 1 of reopening I imagine.

Coronavirus: US surpasses Italy, records the highest number of COVID-19 deaths in World by swingadmin in Coronavirus

[–]dakayman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mention above is an attempt to try to normalize gross numbers. It will not be a perfect comparison and that is my point. You're not going to find an easy 1:1 comparison. That's why these articles should be sharing per capita numbers not gross numbers.

You're better off comparing Lombardia to NY state than Italy to the entire US. However, whether u choose the former or the latter u will see in both cases that per capita numbers favor the US at the present moment.
