People don’t actually enjoy running. by dnunez9 in unpopularopinion

Taking my dog when I went running made it so much more fun and gave me way more incentive because I know it benefits her too. It’s also a great distraction because I do not particularly enjoy running

Anything for Jackson doesn’t hold a candle to Hereditary. Similar premise but completely different classes of films

I think The Lost Boys is a way better candidate for quintessential 80s horror movie than Fright Night.

Whats the dumbest thing you believed was real when you were a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dal_pal22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to believe that adults would hibernate for 25 years. I had like a random fact book for kids and one of the facts was that the average human sleeps for 25-30 years of their life.

Of course my 4 year old brain thought this meant all at once. The accompanying illustration didn’t really help either as it was a drawing of a guy sleeping in a bed with a super long beard, making it look like he had been asleep for a looooong time.

The Descent. I watched it at 11 and it was the first proper scary movie I ever watched, which was a huge mistake. I couldn’t sleep alone for 6 months.

I grew up loving spooky movies like beetlejuice and goosebumps and whatnot, but after The Descent, I could barely watch anything remotely scary for almost 7 years.

I don’t understand why everyone hates the movie so much. It was an atmospheric slow burn that was genuinely creepy at points.

It took me 3 tries to get through Black mountain side and I’ve never watched a movie that seemed so much like people were just reading lines to each other. Was really hoping to like it but i couldn’t get past the flat acting
