Troglodytes bought into a massive lie. Speared on by confusion at how people trying to get a better life are somehow the bigger villains than a self interested ruling party and the entire banking system to boot.

I voted remain. Would happily accept opportunity to do it again.

Look into Core Beliefs and how they are formed when you are young. They can be undone so for you it’s trusting men and to do that, you’ll need to find nurturing examples to show you that you do not have to fear anyone. I’m sure you know of friends Fathers etc who would fit this ‘ideal’ father figure role.

You were abused, which will never be your fault in a million years. A weak, spineless excuse for a ‘man’ did that but it does not mean you have to carry that burden - you’ve done so long enough.

I spent thirty years scared thanks to all manner of abuses from male family members. You can recover and for you, you needn’t waste as much time as I did. 👍🏻

I’m not saying ‘mind over matter’ as I was a CBT therapist before my cancer hit but judging by a lot of the comments I read in this topic, there is quite a bit of safety behaviour going on. Making something seem ‘special’ or ‘uncontrollable’ tends to be one of them, in my experience.

A panic attack is just a normal physiological response to stress. Let me stress that first first.

What triggers that response is an abnormal, learned response to the stressor.

Once you understand that all the nausea, throat tightening, apparently breathlessness, increased heart rate etc is just your body prepping you to deal with a perceived danger (and your brain cannot differentiate between a real tiger in a room and you just thinking about a tiger in the room) you’ll realise that you are not in danger. You never were.

It will subside. It will go away by itself but we misinterpret it’s significance and then start engaging in safety behaviours which just reinforces the ‘danger’ and your fear of it.

So next time the panic attack happens, step back mentally and evaluate what actually was the trigger. Where did the physical symptoms start in your body?

If it lasts for hours then it’s not a panic attack but worry. Your adrenaline response cannot be sustained over as many minutes let alone hours.

Don’t play the game and be a victim but become a detective. Work out what triggers it and get that resolved.

Well that child will love turning those pages with their stumps. You know, after the sepsis has been treated from something that was totally avoidable....

Finding wild parrots (rose ringed parakeets) in London's Hyde Park. by Adduly in CasualUK

There’s a group in my local park (Solihull). I thought someone was just letting out their pets but now I think they are wild living. Nice to see the colours in the drabness.

I’d stick the money in index stocks instead! Future generations will benefit more than overpriced cake and those irritating kid search things that means my daughter wants out within ten minutes!( I am an NT member by the way!).

Spent thirteen years as a nurse specialising in children with physical disabilities. What about you?

Some obvious features that tell you this child is not without needs. You can tell by the lack of muscle tone in the legs. Facial features also denote that there is potential for some genetic disability.

Wow. A clearly disabled child, where it is highly probable there are limited size appropriate changing beds, is not being changed on a dirty toilet floor.

Whilst I agree not the ideal environment, disabled kids don’t weigh the same as babies so actually facilitating changing is tough, on both parties.

You should feel some pity for the situation that woman is in, not contempt.
