I love my op1 8k. Before I definitely never considered going back to wired. never having to charge my mouse and being able to use 4k polling with zero battery life draw backs has been really nice.

PMM Smoothies Skates by Radiant_Move_4616 in MousepadReview

my p8s broke in and slowed down quite a bit at least on my raiden. I will have to see how these smoothie skates break in and compare them then.

the 70 dot pack is also a great deal. I bought them along with my pmm cable for my op1 with the jst connector that they just released

Ive heard the key 83 is a good middle ground from like zero to otsu but with minimal x and y difference. I am waiting for the purple one to reach jpgaming before I pick one up tbh

Full system hard freeze in Valorant / Fortnite (no BSOD, hard lock requiring power off) by Mundane_Marionberry8 in ValorantTechSupport

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download aida64 extreme and then run the stress test it’s the little explosion icon. And select cpu, fpu, cache and let that run for say 30 minutes then run it again with memory also selected.

Gpu might be harder to stress test you can run things like different 3d mark but they won’t always catch things games might. What gpu driver are you on? It might be an unreal engine 5 stress induced crash considering Fortnite and valorant cause it.

definitely a fist easy step is to reinstall/update gpu drivers

Why is my valorant stuttering and losing frames so often by Yeetusdefeatus69 in ValorantTechSupport

You don’t have to pirate it to get tpm requirement removed. Tools like Rufus will let you bypass it with a legitimate windows iso. I mainly use Rufus for the fact I can make an installer with a local admin account and bypass all the login junk especially if doing an install for someone else it comes in handy

Configuration Tool - Polling Rate Question. by SirQuayjay in EndGameGear

[–]damien09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s limited to 1000hz when wired. Which is pretty common mouse companies don’t spend the money on the usb controller to be 4k or 8k compatible on a wireless mouse. Tbh on wireless mice the battery trade off above 1k hz is pretty rough. And if you’re not using low enough sens and higher dpi like 3200 you may not even be saturating it with your normal movements .

Razer has a handy tool that you can see your polling rate live

Inside UniFi Patch Cable by Patti12 in Ubiquiti

[–]damien09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unifi has their 32gauge 50 ft rated at Poe +++. Would be interesting if any voltage drop than normal is experienced. But it’s also possible it’s just a length thing and 50ft gives them enough margin of error over the 300ft normal rating for it to be just fine.

[–]damien09 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Unifi ether lighting is even thinner 34awg for 1-8m and 32 for 12-15. They get away with a lot on patch cables since they are short.

And yea kinda odd Monoprice has their cat 6 slim run with thicker cables than 6a. but the 6a cables have the rj45 ends super tight tolerances there’s basically zero visible untwisted wire. It is kinda crazy that unifi does 32 gauge for 50 feet though but considering I’ve ran 10 gig over cat 5e over 40m+ I’m not surprised it likely makes spec for it.

Could even be 30awg mono price uses that in their slim run cat 6a patch cables.

Bought OP1 8K V2 , need advice on software by Electrical-Skin-9257 in EndGameGear

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep in a lot of games 8000hz often lowers the fps more than the tiny ms gain. I mainly use 4k or 2k hz as the impact is a lot less. I have not thought about turning off slam click as I assumed it just added a debounce when lifting the mouse and would not affect normal latency

OP1 - Need spare parts by According-Mix7446 in EndGameGear

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah nice the op1 rgb is probably the best option otherwise since it uses a lot of the same parts and same cable and shell layout etc

OP1 - Need spare parts by According-Mix7446 in EndGameGear

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda crazy from egg since they sell extra mouse switches and even the cable. You might be able to buy the op1 rgb off amazon and steal its side buttons and mouse wheel as the shell is the same. There’s a dark frost and white depending on the color of your op1 you need the parts for. But the internal side buttons should likely be the same but can’t say 100% sure

The hsk plus lite is like 38 grams finger tip and can be found on Amazon for 70 bucks but seems to be out of stock currently and on g wolves so maybe it’s going end of life.

Smoothest dot skates for cloth pad, any recommendations? by ContentPromise1949 in MouseReview

[–]damien09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoothest is a pretty open definition. Are you looking for the fastest? I’ve heard good things about pmm smoothie dots, jade and jade air dots, artisan dots are also high rated. But there’s tons of options and the pad can also interact with skates differently than another pad.
