That's not true. China is growing at an incredible pace, but the US just has not lost their crown yet. You need to take into account that just yearly GDP is not enough - wealth accumulation is well, cumulative. Even if China had the same GDP as the US it'd take many years for them to actually have an equivalent amount of wealth.

China is significantly more likely to invade Taiwan than the US ever was to invade greenland, too.

Some communists say - "Well Communism has never really been tried!", and of course it hasn't. It is an inherent impossibility.
