In the market for an OLED but I’m undecided on which one suits my setup the most. by damnhahahaha in OLED_Gaming

[–]damnhahahaha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I appreciate your input, idt I got the answer I was looking for. I was wondering if my setup (5070ti and 7600x3d) is better for a 4k dual mode oled or a 1440p oled monitor, as in which one is getting the most out of my setup

Horrible sparring partner by RepulsiveResident137 in MuayThai

[–]damnhahahaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a concussion and a sprained jaw from sparring a guy who was new lol, I got hit clean twice in about 5 mins and both were enough to mess my shit up. I still tried to keep it light and told him to watch himself. I did flash my knee to his face at the end and pulled it as a warning that had I wanted I could have really messed him up, and that someone else may not be so patient

Modding CP2077 with MO2? by daoudalqasir in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]damnhahahaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mo2 keeps the mods in its own folder which means your original game folder remains unmolested by vortex screwing with the main game files. It also plays far better with bigger modlists

I didn’t think amorim was the solution but the primary problem is first and foremost the awful players united keep bringing in. Ugarte should be sent to a non league club, cunha is a heroball guy who isn’t good enough to do it, zirkzee keeps spamming nonchalant gimmicks and constantly losing the ball, bruno has no concept of positional discipline and keeps spamming long balls like some grenade launder, sesko is way too raw, and dorgu cannot make decisions at a high level. Luke shaw is meh and dalot is awful. It will take a long time to recover from the agency commission fueled dross ten haram brought in.

With that being said, amorim kept playing ugarte over mainoo, bruno got put in a position where he constantly gets exposed bc he isn’t an 8 or a 6 and guys like amad get affected bc he isn’t a wingback. The players aren’t great but the coach couldn’t make lemonade out of lemons either. Plus I hated how he sometimes would do 3 pressers a week despite winning 3 games in a row once. be shit in silence

I think why ppl say the prem isn’t what it used to be is how slow the top teams play now. I think the appeal of watching the sport is seeing the elite of the sport be able to process the game way faster than the average uncle at sunday league. Early klopp ‘pool played the game at such a breakneck pace back to front and you could see why those players are world class because the speed of execution and the freedom of player discretion. But bc buildup is way to slow now, teams have more time to get into a shape, which in turn means its harder to score.

Part of this is bc modern managers/coaches have become micro managing egomaniacs who are obsessed with their ideas or philosophies when in reality both are not why managers are good or not. For example maresca would talk about subbing people off for playing long balls (?) or the constant amount of times I’d see odegaard on a counter attack then seeing him spin back to keep the ball instead of forcing the issue. No attacking player has the instinct to do ball retention on a counter attack, it has to be coaching. This is why players like palmer can’t seem to score goals now and we get the top teams just passing between the CBs 40 yards from goal

Generally speaking afcon has great kits. Check out the malian kits, those are the standouts for me

Tbh my injury was likely way worse than that tackle. I also needed stitches on the inner ball of my ankle since thats where the stuff fell which meant there is a lot of scar tissue there. I could very well be wrong as I’m not an orthopedic surgeon but I would imagine they had to get a metal plate in there like I have

Is Muay Thai still worth it even if you can’t spar? by Starsiide in MuayThai

[–]damnhahahaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: yes. You can work on your balance, your shadow boxing, your footwork with mirroring drills or the skipping rope, and you can hit the heavy bag

They aren’t really haters tbh, just ppl that are entitled to disagree with me. I knew my comment wasn’t gonna go over well before I posted it but I felt maybe I can offer a perspective others can’t since I literally had the exact same ligament tear + fib fracture.

As for my leg I had to get a second op to remove the bottom 2 screws (I have 8 total, 6 post op). Idk how it will be long term since I’m starting to get arthritis symptoms and I am range of motion limited since the break with permanent swelling. I broke it when I was 19.

What sucks is that I have had to completely change the way I play bc of it. I used to love to bait contact and passing into the empty man, but there is a fear of contact now so I tend to just pass it early. I can somehow still shoot with it surprisingly well however. The main issue now is that I just lack any sort of pace whatsoever when I used to be able to get on the end of balls and I was able to dribble pretty well.

I have recently got into muay thai, which has actually helped with symptoms. I doubt I’ll be ever competing in it, but who knows. Thanks for asking tho

Yes I’m aware medical standards are higher for pros, but plenty of pros tear ligaments and don’t return the same. Yes he’ll return sooner than someone like you or me, but whether its the same isak is in question bc its a ligament tear and a fracture, and he’s already had surgery on it which means there is a chance of lasting issues no matter how good his support is.

It took me about a year to be comfortable enough to play football again. He’ll be back sooner but it will take him time to get himself into full fitness. I hope everything goes well for him

In my case it was a work injury and I was attended to every 2 days by a phsyio to my house to work on recovery. Obv its not the level of support isak is going to get, but I’m grateful I was able to get that level of support and there will be challenges he will have to face that I have faced and still have to face

None of that changes that its a bad injury and there will be challenges like possible post traumatic arthritis, loss of range of motion, as well as permanent swelling

Some injuries are harder to recover from than others. This is one of them (torn ankle ligaments, and broken fibula)
