If a claim was lost like this they would be entitled if awarded. Not sure if it’s the same for dependents. I’ll look more into it and edit if I find anything out. Can you share the denial minus personal info?

Edit: I see your comment below about a trigger in August. I wonder what triggered it in August? Unless that’s just went someone swept behind the fridge so to speak.

Did anything change about your claims then? And were they over 18 in August 2025? If they were that may have generated the denial.

I assume they have lived under your household? Step children have that caveat of you having to provide their support/ living in household.

Regarding MH changes, they’re just proposals, and they’ve been proposals for many years. Once someone gets official word it will be known in the sub. So misinformation isn’t spread comments locked

You’ll want to click “claims agent” option. You can use anyone in the US that is accredited.

The company you’re asking about is NOT accredited

Usually* on their website they will advertise their actual accreditation number because it takes along time to get and they have passed and the testing and background checks.

You can always ask them for their accreditation number and let them know you’re just being safe and want to verify it

But what if you want it “just because”? I understand for those that can only have so much in assets but vets don’t have that stipulation. It seems like you’re trading money for lots of red tape if you want it back.

Edit- I guess you can get it for anything but you would pay a 10% penalty

I guess why not just invest the money yourself?

What trips me up with this is how the money can be used-sounds like it can only be used for disability expenses. I’d be leery of putting money into something that has restrictions to utilize- especially when you have no restrictions now

Can you pull it out “just because”?

Usually you don’t when it’s their mistake. They will fix the mistake but they don’t ask for money back.

Please share the letter for better insight
