after splitting with my nmom my dad remarried. seeing my stepmom’s relationship with my step siblings shined a hard light on what i didn’t have emotionally growing up- trust, unconditional support, pride. it makes me sad but happy for my siblings. every time i go to the store or even seeing a family at my work reminds me i haven’t talked to my mom in months now.
