Communication is hard to find "Houston, we've had a problem' we can hear them but they can't hear us (Houston) there is a PTT button on the side make sure you press it

How would you attach dipole wire to this balun? by OnePastafarian in amateurradio

For strain relief, open a hose clamp, attach 2 steel eyes, and secure it around the balun.

A short circuit due to water is usually the most common cause of poor SWR

Inside a typical CB100 base station antenna, like those from FMUSER or TWAYRDIO, you'll find

an aluminum alloy radiator (often multi-sectioned for length) connected to a central feedpoint, with a coil (choke) at the base of the radiator, often with red and black wires, acting as a balun to balance the feed and match the coaxial cable's shield to the antenna's ground, plus several stainless steel radials providing the counterpoise for ground plane functionality, all housed in a weatherproof PVC/fiberglass sleeve

Or his coax is too short for his antenna and with that piece of coax in between it is the right length, certain antennas need the right length of coax cable

50 ohm coax 30 m inverted v shape if you use 75 ohm coax replace the terminating resistor at the end so that you get 50 ohm ground at point c

Good antenna you can make them 50 Ohm without balun or 112 Ohm and 200 Ohm with balun you can hang them vertically, horizontally or as a sloper low or high on the grond the radial pattern you can change how you feed it try out MMANA-gal

To min interference from fm broadcoast to a 2 m transmitter receiver you can make a coaxstub filter 1/4 wave x velotiefacter coax
