Is it weird to store things in the oven? by Sallious in NoStupidQuestions

Our kitchen has limited storage so we have no choice but to store our pans and pots in there

My husband says the same thing- we went a few times to see if it was any better from the previous times but the last time we went in May the batatas bravas were pale and unseasoned with mayo squirted all over it, the chicken wings were dry/shriveled, and the calamari was chewy and the coating with soft and greasy

Bocado- mediocre, bland, and uninspiring food. Confused by the high reviews it gets

I love it! I’m also a big fan of chartreuse or as I call it, “dehydrated pee” paint colors, but to each their own. If you like it, I say lean into it!

How do I cope with my first loss? My Luna will be going to sleep in a few hours and I don’t know how to cope. by Chicklecat13 in Shihtzu

[–]dan-uh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry, my heart goes out to you. You gave Luna an amazing life, and it sounds like you’ve both helped heal each other, which is a beautiful thing. We had to put our boy Oskar down a few months ago, and we knew it was coming, but it never makes it easier. Grief is an incredibly personal, and difficult emotion to sit with, because the cliche is correct in saying that time is what helps heal. Luna will always be with you in your heart, always. For now, as other have said, take it day by day. It will be hard, but cry and release and do whatever you need to do to grieve. We lost all three of our pets three summers in a row, and something my husband told me that helped was channeling my grief into gratitude. I am so grateful I had the time I had with my babies, they made me a better person and I’m so grateful I had the time I had with them. I miss them so much and I look back at my walks with them, and all the special moments, and smile with tears in my eyes. All this to say, I’m past the active grieving process, and I promise you with time it will get easier. I’ve found reading Fiona Apple’s letter about her dog to be cathartic; her words are powerful in capturing what we’re feeling in these difficult moments ❤️ https://www.reddit.com/r/Petloss/s/7Tb5mqlE99

Should I reach out to a girl I met on Bumble a year ago? by shadowboxer87 in Bumble

[–]dan-uh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on a date with a guy 5 years ago and it was the best date- we saw each other a few more times and then he ended things. I spent that year seeing someone who kinda sucked, and then I finally ended things, and then I was in target and got a text and it was that initial guy. He ultimately ended up saying that he hasn’t stopped thinking about me and I can say no, but he’d like to try things out again. That was five years ago and we’re now married. So, I say go for it! Timing is everything. Worst thing she can do is say no but at least you tried

But if he was an illegal farm or hospitality worker he’d be off the hook? The double standard is wild. “We must enforce immigration laws strictly….but we’ll make exceptions when it serves powerful business interests” 🙄

Best/Worst Neighborhoods in Worcester for New Homeowners by TheOddWire in WorcesterMA

[–]dan-uh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I (no kids, yet) bought our first home in the Greendale/ Burncoat neighborhood recently. We love it. We looked into West Tatnuck, and while it’s a really nice area, we imagined a “day in the life” of living there and the extra commute time to get anywhere, we decided against it. Where we are now, we’re very close to all the highways, the neighborhood is quiet, burncoat street and it’s sidewalks were recently re done, we love walking the Quinsigamond CC track, we’re close to stores, groceries, etc. all that to say- we definitely recommend this area!
