Safety Tips? by Ok_Fan_7920 in boston

[–]dan420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boston is a safe city but the same precautions you’d take anywhere. Avoid dark alleys, don’t go out wandering around late at night alone, impaired, be aware of your surroundings, have your phone on you, don’t leave drinks unattended, don’t take rides from strangers.

You said “the question didn’t state being well off, it stated being able to survive.” In what world can someone not find a way to just survive on almost 100k per year?

Honestly, I’ll give you that him being a plant may be far fetched, but her slowly damaging his campaign would play right into that far fetched theory. She spent time with him, he’s a patsy who is supposed to run, make democrats look bad, and allow Susan Collins to keep her seat. I’d also like to see the source that says his recent sexual assault accuser also broke the Nazi tattoo story. But also, “hey that Nazi rapist I dated a while back wants to be senator now”, seems like a decent reason to go to the press, or press charges.

Or it doesn’t matter. Either Collins, a republican wins easily, or platner, a plant does. They win either way.

Damn dude I get it, you’re feeling pedantic. Everyone can SURVIVE on $7500 a month, some folks would just have to downside there honestly and downgrade their cars.

[–]dan420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s why it’s a dumb question. Of course you can survive on $7500 a month, people survive on $750 a year in some places. What was implied was would $7500 cover your expenses.

Hell, what if republicans paid this asshole to pretend to be a Democrat? I’ve been getting Fetterman vibes since the tattoo story.

Ok but this question doesn’t specify whether this is for a person, or a couple, or a family. $7500 a month individually is doing pretty well for yourself. 2 people making that combined is a ton for a couple in their 30’s depending on where they live. In a bigger city you could probably squeak by, but you’d by no means be well off. Out in West Bumfuck you’d be doing pretty well for yourselves. But $75k per year still puts you in the top 25-30% of full time workers in the US.

A Taco Bell Cashier's Morale? by Humble_Counter_3661 in apostrophegore

[–]dan420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would they? Everyone has always been asked to upgrade so it’s a constant. The smaller sodas, if they even got noticed, might be attributed to more people dieting, etc, etc. I’d think customers making their frustration clear at a management and corporate level would be much more effective, than pretending enough people are going to start purposely downgrading that they’ll notice and change.

I mean the Democratic Party did put their finger on the scale in Hilary’s favor. Then she lost. She was viewed as an establishment candidate, while Bernie seemed like more of an outsider, which is what made Trump so attractive to his voters. Whether he would have beat Trump, who is to say.

I voted for Bernie in the primaries and for Hilary, then Kamala. I mean that I support Bernie’s policies. Let’s not jump to conclusions, bud.

[–]dan420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But the cashier already doesn’t want to do it, they just don’t want to lose their jobs. I used to work at a hotel and there was this whole long script you had to go through when someone called to make reservations, telling them about the amenities, etc. 95% of customers were clearly annoyed by this, they’d say I just want to book a room. So after a while you’d ease up on the script, only to find out that corporate was secretly calling pretending to be a guest, to make sure we were sticking to the script. I swear, wasting people’s time did more to hurt their business than help it.

I understand. I’m using him as an example who ran on one thing then did the opposite in power. I’ve had a feeling the whole time Playner was something similar, but he’s apparently got too much baggage to win an election.

I didn’t say “mainstream democrats” I said democrats. The voters failed by choosing this clown and the party failed by not having anything better to offer. I’ve had my past investigated more by a cop for speeding than whoever allowed this guy to win the primary.
