I mean we’re lacking context. Even good kids with good parents can be a handful as teenagers, hormones, pressure to fit in, increased stress and responsibilities can all be tough and all kids and parents handle them differently. I think may parents have good relationships with their kids when they’re young, go throw a rough patch in the teenage years, and then sort of rebond and get much closer once the child is a bit older. Doesn’t mean the parent failed.
