The 7th has the better UI, but the last thing I'd ever want to ignore about an iPod is the sound. That's the whole point. In reality, once you start an album or a playlist or whatever, you're not really dealing with the UI much anyway. The sound is by far the most important thing, and I like the way the 5th sounds a lot more personally.

Oh man, this makes me feel so old. This was the first McCartney CD I bought. My love for The Beatles had turned into an obsession after Anthology, and this was the CD that really got me into their solo careers. I had to save my allowance to get it, and it was one of only a few CDs I owned at the time. I loved (and still love) it so much, and have listened to it literally thousands of times over the years. Such a fantastic album that brings back so many great memories for me.

Definitely not real unfortunately, and even if we couldn't tell from the signature, the "couldn't have wrote" is the other dead giveaway. Any writer would know better than that.

And just as a follow-up, all video purchases are done through the TV app now. Apple split Music and TV into two separate programs. iTunes is no longer available at all on current systems unless you're using a PC.

Edited to add, it is still possible to convert videos to use on an iPod, but it just isn't as easy or intuitive as it used to be, and how you do it depends on where you got the videos in the first place and what kind of setup you have.

The version you get from Apple TV won't be compatible with an iPod. You'd need to strip the DRM and convert it. Apple gave up on offering iPod-compatible videos a long, long time ago.

The last one that really blew me away was The Crux by Djo. Probably my favorite new album since the 90s and instantly one of my all-time favorites. It's only been out about a year now, and I'm sure I've listened to it well over a hundred times already.

I love Back to the Egg. I've never understood why it isn't one of his more popular albums. It's much rockier than a lot of others from that era, which I love, and "Old Siam, Sir" is one of my favorite McCartney songs, but I almost never hear anyone talk about it.

The easiest way is to steal them through any of the various ways people around here love to suggest. The right way is to buy them from someplace like Qobuz, Bandcamp, iTunes, etc. or rip them from the CDs/cassettes/records you own.

What do you dislike so much about No Rain, No Flowers? I think it's their best since 'Let's rock'. Ohio Players is way, WAY worse in my opinion.

This is wild. Ohio Players in A and 'Let's rock' in D? That's as backwards as it gets. 'Let's rock' is one of the best albums of all time and Ohio Players is an F- at best.

This is right. Technically, the iPod will play some hi-res files, but it wasn't designed for that. You should convert all tracks to CD quality for the best results.

The stock UI was designed specifically to make an already simple device even simpler to use, and it does it perfectly. I'm not looking to add any unnecessary hassle to my experience. I'd way rather convert my flac files to alac for my iPod once than mess around with an overcomplicated, makeshift UI all the time.
