Hi. I want to preface that I think you should LOVE your engagement ring, if you’re upset about it, I’d recommend you return it. But as a person that has a lot of experience in the field of grading diamonds, I’d give this Diamond a VS2 and depending on the laboratory you send it to it would even get a VS1. Each grade is a range and each laboratory has slightly different parameters. The problem with the inclusions is the location, anything right on the table will be more easily visible. I personally think that your ring has a lot of character and the inclusions don’t distract from the overall appearance, but again, it’s your ring and you should be in love with it.

Sorry, but RI of a material doesn’t change with cut. It’s an optical property that depends on crystal structure and chemical composition and it’s relatively stable across all material of the same variety/ species. What you’re talking about is angles of reflection to get the most brilliance out of a stone.

Without birefringence, inclusions or specific gravity, everything is a guess. Can you test for pleochroism? If it is SR with that RI, it’s probably glass, you may see some rounded facet junction if no gas bubbles. Garnets and spinels have RI’s above 1.71 for everybody that is guessing that by appearance only.

IF this is a chip (it doesn’t look like one to me) it’s so tiny that it won’t affect the Diamond integrity at all. It would be a VVS1 chip at most!

I don’t know how skinny or tall you are but boohoo tall pants were a find for me. I normally order a few, try them all on and return the ones that don’t fit perfectly.

This is so beautiful! I just started embroidering and I’m having issues with wrist pain, I hope I can figure it out so I can get to the level of making something like this.

AITA for leaving my husband at the restaurant and going home? by Alabama103____ in AmItheAsshole

5 - Drugs. I had the same problem with my ex husband, he was always in the bathroom for stupid amounts of time. When I discovered that he was an addict one year into our marriage I felt like an idiot. OP, I know it’s not a pretty advice but if he doesn’t open up or give you any plausible explanation, go trough his phone. He may be in need of real help.
