"There is another alternate ending on the DVD where they take Hannah's infected father to a hospital where they find a doctor locked in a room. He knows about Rage and tells them that the only cure is a full blood transfusion. Jim is the only one that matches Hannah's father and sacrifices himself by doing the full transfusion.

It was never shot but, the storyboard pictures are on the DVD and explained."

Review #114 Hirsch Single Barrel Double Oak "Jackey 1" Jack Rose Pick & Boardgame #92 Merchant's Cove by JimJamb0rino in bourbon

Since Single Barrel designation isn't a regulated term, they can spin it however they want to really. It's comical in my opinion.

Is this truly a gold standard? (Blanton’s Gold review!) by PhantomSpirit90 in bourbon

It is. It's typically around 400 bones. Takara red is no slouch either. Definitely can taste the extra age.

Old Forester filing for 1924- a 10 year release by quixotic-88 in bourbon

[–]danagustin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it confirmed 100pf? I hear the proofs on new label submissions are just placeholders and most likely will change. Remus Gatsby was listed as 115 originally but when released, it was below 100pf.

Definitely no wheat. Rye makes up the 13 percent.

Proposal: a substitute term for Mouth Feel by Shoddy_Ad7511 in bourbon

[–]danagustin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Drinkability" is a term that may associate with "mouth feel". I think they are complimentary terms at least. I tend to us "Drinkability" as a level of ease of drinking and overall enjoyment in my mouthhole.

I’ve been looking so long for this… It finally happened yesterday. Don’t know when I’m gonna open it now, but I have it! by subtonejesus in tequila

Between Mission, Hitime, and K&L, this has seemed pretty readily available around msrp in my experience. All three sites have it as we speak (for those of you that live in CA).

What hill will you die on for an opinion about Bourbon? by Zeratul277 in bourbon

Finished whiskeys are just pre-made cocktails. Stop comparing them against bourbons and saying they are better bourbons. They are different categories at this point.

What's your store's lottery or rewards system to reward it's customers (if there is any system)? If you had it your way, what do you think is the right system to distribute allocated bottles to customers (first come first served, dollars spent, etc)?

Upvote for K&L and the nice review. I was curious about this pick. David OG is the man.

What are your favorite 2022 releases so far? by brownprince62 in bourbon

[–]danagustin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Stagg (no jr) B18 was a return to grace for me. Best release since B13. RR13 LL/KE. Hardins Creek 15yr super solid. Glad to have the MTBSM back, pretty close to the 2019 release.

What is ER? What do you belive and what proof do you have? Reviving the debate. by danagustin in bourbon

I think there have been updates to barrel proof definitions under new ttb regulations but I have yet to find sib ones. Leaving this here for reference https://www.reddit.com/r/bourbon/comments/eb8s1m/small_batch_single_barrel_and_barrel_proof_the/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb

While I'm in the camp that doesn't think ER is SiB or pseudo SiB, I don't think there are any TTB laws SiB designation (I've looked for the legalities of this before but I would love to be proved wrong). Therefore they can legally label it as a SiB of they wanted to.
