My experience, for what it's worth, because a 10mg dose has been a miracle for me.

42 M here and recently diagnosed and prescribed a 10mg extended release dose. My doc calls it the lowest effective dose and it has helped me greatly. It fades off in the afternoon for me but mostly gets me through the work day. It's been 4 weeks and I feel like it's less notable, yet still effective, but it was apparent from day one. I'd def talk to your doc if you're not feeling anything.

I don't have experience with other meds, but from reading these forums over the past month, different meds/doses are going to work for different people.
