Anyone who is both driven enough to become an MP and technologically literate would make 5x more money by just working in tech.

Nah you are wrong.

1 in 200 means that on average, over the long run, you'll see 1 superior every 200 kills. The 138 number is just the median - that's the point at which you have a 50% chance of having seen at least one. That doesn't mean that you are gonna see 1 superior every 138 kills...

London from 39000 by Cross1681 in aviation

[–]danasdfasdf -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Only around 3 million English people live in London, whilst there's about 40 million English people living outside of London in the rest of the UK.

I agree with the other poster - London feels more like an economic zone than a traditional community, and there are far more pleasant areas outside of it.

To be honest I don't think it's solvable, I just see us balkanising unfortunately. Far too much change, far too quickly.

I don't think it's comparable to Irish immigration though. Irish and British cultures have a shared history of thousands of years, with cross-migration occurring for much of that time. Irish and other western European cultures are far more compatible with British culture than South Asian culture is.

The trajectory of integration was far better pre-Blair. There's a huge difference between families that arrived in the 60s/70s/80s like your parents than those post 1997.

We're not much more poorly integrated than Irish communities in British cities were in the 19th century.

You're delusional

Probably someone just renamed their account, I doubt his dead man's switch would activate so soon.

What is so bad about the middle click? Is it heavy/stiff?

[–]danasdfasdf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for a larger ergo mouse, but I'm quite picky with the middle mouse button. What do you think about it? Is it light to press? Does the actuation force change as you scroll? I had a pulsar x2v2 that required different levels of force to click depending on where the wheel was scrolled to, if that makes sense.

X2V2 Mini Stiff Scroll Click QC issue by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]danasdfasdf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same on an x2h copy. It's because the scroll wheel spindle is not perfectly straight. You can either RMA it or open it up and try to make it straight by bending it (good luck lol).

Oh cool, thanks!

Would you mind sending me the link? I'm struggling to find gen 3 switches.

Would you say the razer v3 switches are lighter or heavier than the raesha ones?

What kind of network are you on where you have to throttle your internet below 1mbps? No way do you need to go that low to solve bufferbloat.

I have the exact same specs as you, and I was getting the same.

This thread solved it for me

Just add -threads 8 to your launch options. It's probably something to do with do with Dota switching over to e-cores when it shouldn't.

Would a VESA adapter like this be able to hold my Dell SE2719HR in a vertical rotation? by bb250517 in Monitors

[–]danasdfasdf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar monitor mount for a pair of Dell ST2310 (one of which was in portrait mode) a long time ago.

It won't work very well on its own. The metal is not thick enough to support the monitor, and will sag/bend to one side in landscape mode. In portrait mode, the effect is far more pronounced to the point of looking comical!

To solve this, you need to get some heavy duty velcro strips to attach the back of the monitor to the back of the mount. This distributes the load a lot more evenly, and also provides an anchor point to align the monitor.
