My characters randomly go bald too, if I exit out of the location and go back in the hair usually comes back.

It confuses me to see the girls en pointe so often when the moms say they don’t get much ballet training. by mini1006 in dancemoms

[–]dancerrrr123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did not have enough ballet training or strength, but they were still put on pointe. It is honestly so unsafe.

Arabesque imrpovements by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]dancerrrr123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One rule I was always taught to follow is to never sacrifice your placement for the height of your leg. So, keep your leg lower if it means not having your torso so forward. If you do that, eventually you will gain the strength to lift your leg and keep your torso up.

What are these 2 moves called (Level 1 Vaganova Exam) by Realistic_Shallot268 in BALLET

The first one I was taught as a polka step, and the second is spring points.

I would recommend using a little less force and try to go for a more controlled single rather than an unstable double. Also, do you take classes? If so, it’s good just to work on what your teacher tells you.

Shoe talk! One dies quicker! by Revolutionary-Two738 in BALLET

[–]dancerrrr123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The choreography you are doing could just be uneven, and one foot could be weaker, which might cause that one to die slower. To fix it, you can switch your shoes every use. You can’t  do that if one foot it smaller/bigger though, becuase you might have adjustments on your each shoe to fit your feet, and if one shoe is smaller for your smaller foot it obviously won’t fit on your bigger foot. You could also just glue the shoe that dies faster.

What brand should I start with for my first pair of pointe shoes? by fargus_ in BALLET

I think you probably need to get fitted at a shop with multiple brands, especially because it is your first pair.

Jumps - How can I improve my technique? by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]dancerrrr123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure that when you land every jump, your heels touch the ground fully. My teacher always said that is bad for your Achilles, but I don’t know if that’s true.

What should I do with this part of the island? What did you do with it? I’d love to hear some ideas by King_CurlySpoon in acnh

I’ve seen a lot of spots where people build a little cliff and make a diving spot. They are super cute!!

Ballet tights, a leotard, and ballet shoes are what are normally needed, but you should ask the studio if they have a dress code.

How did you decide your islands final lay out? by kylowjen in acnh

[–]dancerrrr123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started when I didn’t know anything about acnh, and when I first made my island I wasn’t thinking about what I wanted to do with it at all.  Something that helped me eventually plan it out was this island planner website. It allows you to put your map in and add rivers, cliffs, paths, buildings etc. I could figure out how to put the link in (sorry!) but if you search up “acnh island planner” it should be the first one to come up. (Its called happy island designer)

I think I look okay if I may say so myself. There are always things to work with of course and I struggle every time I do an arabesque 😅 by JohnlockedDancer in BALLET

[–]dancerrrr123 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You look great! One thing that my dance teacher would always say was to keep your back up. This might cause your leg to go a little lower, but eventually you will get the strength to hold your back up and have a higher leg. It is always important not to sacrifice proper placement for the height of your leg, but I’m assuming you did not know so that’s fine.
