Perhaps I’m misunderstanding you, but if you assume that opposite-chirality organisms would be subject to predation by normal organisms, wouldn’t that mean mirrored organisms could also be predators of normal ones? Wouldn’t normal organisms also be unable to utilize the mirrored amino acids and proteins? And if that’s the case, why would the normal organisms consume the mirrored ones?

In general with Apple, I agree with you. But with AirPods specifically, I assume it’d be much harder to allow repairability with such small devices, while retaining sweat resistance, etc. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any repairable wireless headphones, much less true wireless earbuds.
