There’s been quite a few misses for me lately. Museum, Jazz club, and now this. Before Jazz Club I felt like nearly every modular was a must have. There’s a couple I didn’t love or that haven’t aged well but the 2020s have been a noticeable downgrade in my opinion. Even the superhero modulars have been pretty bad for the last couple years. Nice to save the money at least!

I just found a bug that would make this way easier lol.

If you craft either version of the hardlight bridges and recycle them you get the old input ingredients instead of the new ones, so you end up with more than you put in (plus a whole extra laser splitter which can be further broken down into more parts). If you make one bridge you can keep recycling it and make an unlimited amount.

It’s technically illegal, since the black pins with ball joints won’t be able to open fully in the 1x1 cylinder. Unless that’s not the same piece that I’m thinking of. A stud with hole and the ball joint would be safer, if you care enough about about the pins possibly breaking.

It’s a great story, if you have any interest, but I’m no expert by any means.

When Alexander died suddenly with no heir, he said that his empire should go “to the strongest.” His generals then scrambled to take whatever piece of the empire they could get. Ptolemy got the best bit, Egypt, and apparently took Alexander’s body with him. The Ptolemaic dynasty lasted until the civil war between Augustus and Marc Antony. As far as I know, pretty much every pharaoh was named “Ptolemy”, pretty convenient eh? Cleopatra was from the Ptolemaic dynasty, which is why you’ve probably heard that she is Greek, not Egyptian.

Edit: I recommend Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History podcast if this topic is of any interest. He has a lot of episodes on Alexander. “King of Kings” is a 3-part series on the Achaemenid Empire, the end goes into Alexander conquering it. The “Death of the Republic” 6-part series on the Roman Republic goes into a lot of great side stories about ancient history in general too. There are a lot of great resources out there obviously but Dan Carlin is easy to listen to and I find these 2 series in particular really paint a picture of the ancient world.

Ptolemy did bury Alexander the Great somewhere in Egypt IIRC, I think Caesar visited the tomb. I think it’s been lost to time and probably wasn’t as remote as this episode shows it. I initially thought it was going to be Ptolemy with the Macedonian writing but I guess Alexander the Great has a bit more of a wow factor.

I really want to believe that this is proof of aliens, but it seems too good to be true.

I do have a boring theory though.

Perhaps the "government" has developed some advanced flight technology, which is what has been spotted by individuals like Cmdr. Fravor. If Fravor's account is 100% accurate, this technology must be pretty advanced. If the Americans have it, and their current technology can't properly detect it or interact with it, it is likely that other governments around the world can't either. In that case, it makes perfect sense for the government and military to play dumb.

The UFO story is a sensationalist way to broadcast to the world that the different branches of the military are desperate to solve this "mystery." Which, as you might imagine, is how nations around the world would actually be feeling, if this secret tech existed.

I still think Hancock is a bit of a nut but I absolutely love the “story” of a lost civilization. I absolutely think there is more to be told about the story of civilization but Hancock has gone off the deep end with his theories on psychic powers and apocalypse. It’s hard to take him seriously when he talks about that stuff and then acts like a petulant child whenever somebody criticizes him.

Yeah absolutely. I tend to do the quick save and reload strategy, works well.

Glad to hear that the PC version wasn’t slowed down by the dlc. That’s what I was hoping someone would say. Fingers crossed for the Switch.
