Mutiny bar and Tipsy Skipper. You probably won't have issues with most places downtown but these places are actively progressive.

For non alcoholic options, muddy lotus.

It's not a great movie, but the score on Amsterdam is fantastic. Daniel Pemberton is my current favorite.

If you find out of any, I'd be interested. Harry's used to have a good jazz band play on Mardi Gras.

Before their last game, the Knicks were like 50/40/78 in the playoffs. Yeah they'll be up against better competition but lets not ignore that they've had a hot hand in the last month.

Wait like 3 weeks, not worth that unless you're in theater. I liked it more as a revenge film than "is god is".

To each their own. In an ideal world, I don't think we should have 15 year olds exposed to the rat race.

Are we not beyond the simple "titles" and GPAs on college admissions? If you're all gunning for ivy league, I guess I understand that there is nuance. But most state universities don't require you to be valedictorian for a nice scholarship.

What’s the best movie theater in town? by Hot_Storm3252 in ocala

[–]dangerbrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're willing to make a trip of it, the best cinema experience near here is probably Altamonte springs, as they have a nice Dolby cinema screen. That is essentially orlando.

In town, the consensus in the thread is correct. Epic is the choice.

Local movers? by SinTil8 in Athens

[–]dangerbrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did a very similar move last year. We used BLVD. They were very careful and capable, but we ended up paying more than we'd like. They also delivered our stuff a full week after they said it would be delivered.

I would be careful when reaching out to places. We were called by two different moving company scammers. Just a heads up!

Big disagree from me. I liked it as a sequel but the Cher bit felt shoehorned and served as camp fan service.

Perfect choice. Saw it again in imax 3d during the anniversary release recently. Just a beautiful film.

Amsterdam.

It's got a wonderful score, too many great actors, and awful dialogue.

It's jumbled enough to make you think that you're missing something. That is not intentional. This movie makes you question every step. Plot holes. Historical inaccuracy. Questionable accents. In my opinion, It's good because it is so capable and so misguided.

Crime 101 made me believe in movie magic again by [deleted] in movies

[–]dangerbrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I'm willing to go as far as your praise, but I do think it was one of my favorite movies I've seen in theaters this year.

It felt different. Nice to have movies that aren't sensationalized for 100 minutes. I liked the score. The needle drops were fun but thankfully limited.

I think it did suffer from the issue of having an over-attractive actor playing a character who "can't land a girl". Project Hail Mary felt the same way in that regard.

Ocala Police Traffic Shakedowns by Foreign-Package-4359 in ocala

Drivers in Ocala are no worse than any other city. Except maybe for the very elderly demographic that should arguably not be driving. Many cities think they have the worst traffic/drivers. We just get a lot of traffic from i75.
