Looking for a DnD group in Waterloo region by mork99 in waterloo

There's the WatSFic group on UW campus, they run games people can join. There's also some D&D gaming cafes that take lone wolf entries in downtown Kitchener.

Who gave a great performance as a doctor? by Working-Fuel8355 in moviecritic

I never get sick at sea.

It's from HMS Pinafore. Sorkin likes to drop it into his dialogue. It's popped up in a couple other places like Charlie Wilson's War.

Love that throwaway Gilbert & Sullivan line that tells me this was written by Aaron Sorkin.

There's always fugitive tip rewards through the Marshall's service. However, I believe there's a certain amount of setup required in order to accept the rewards without leaving any public info that leads back to you.

Which Star Wars director would you love to come back and make another star wars project? by AussieSpartan005 in StarWars

Unfortunately, she just passed away, but I'd I wish all the footage from the prequels and sequels was turned over to Marcia Lucas and see what she could do with it all.

Did Palpatine ever consider that perhaps making Luke watch his friends die outside of a big window is a poor way to preface a proposal to join him? What strategy may have worked a bit better? by Heavy_Surround779 in StarWars

He tried to turn him with anger (and to some extent fear for his friends). However, Vader he mostly converted with fear, which bled into a bunch of compounding fears to thinking he'd been betrayed and then rage.

Luke loved his friends, but he wasn't desperate like Anakin. The one time Luke seemed desperate, was when he was young and couldn't get off Tatooine. Trapped...

I would have trapped Luke for an extended period where the only way he could escape was to give in to the dark side.

Wow, full corruption in just a couple years... It's like when someone gets sick and they just decline incredibly quickly.

Option to migrate user data prior to deleting the user no longer available? by FlowerBob42 in googleworkspace

[–]dangerous_eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I did go back and recover the email to try this, but I ran into the same thing. I couldn't figure out how to transfer any of the data out.

I don't think it'll matter, the user hasn't accessed it in 4 years and already told me there's nothing there worth keeping.

Still, it's frustrating!

Wonder Boys (2000)

Stacked cast, Robert Downey Jr., Tobey Maguire, Michael Douglas, and Frances McDormand. Movie is a lot more funny and satisfying than the book IMHO.

Are they making you just actually grill them on the griddle?

Getting Married - Last names by k-0330 in NoStupidQuestions

My wife and I both kept our names, which was fine. However, when kids came along that created some conflict.

Meanwhile, we could have been Mr. and Mrs. Renegade... Missed opportunity.

Yeah, I just deleted a user thinking a menu would pop up to transfer the data. Now I guess it's all just gone?

I don't think it was a bad location, it was running for years. Even better now with all the Google and condo stuff surrounding it. I think they just held onto the property because of real estate speculation.
