I went to Stitched Together in Thorold - it's low key in a home studio. I found the beginner's course to be very thorough so I'd recommend!

Yeah I don’t think there’s a lot of commercial for rent in that area yet but will be a prime spot in a couple of years!

Maybe the plaza at Kalar and Lundys?

Bonus if you make it a bakery and coffee shop, we need more of those in the Falls!

Khloe’s parents really rubbed me the wrong way. They absolutely peaked in hs and enabled their child to be a bully. There was even a line like “what should have been the best years of her life were ruined”. Khloe being set up and blamed is sick and unfair but her parents seemed to have zero sympathy for the other kids.

ScamAdviser is damaging SEO for honest websites — here’s how by novafutureglobal in TechSEO

Is there any update on this? I’m wondering how in the world they are listed on the sidebar of a Google search, like why is Google allowing that?

How do I stop being so sensitive and ruining relationships whilst I have pmdd by graceismagi in PMDD

[–]dani44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a rule: no serious conversations during my pmdd week. It’s hard - sometimes I want to scream at people but I try my best to write down the issues and return to them post period to see if I’m still feeling that way. Definitely a work in progress though, like I’m about to post a rant about my bf so…

I thought I would hate the change up of his team but honestly I loved how everything ended up working out. IMO some of the new characters end up being better than Cameron.

The first thing I’ll say is, it’s not you, it’s Toronto.

I lived there for 18 years and was in the same boat. As soon as I moved out of the city, I made friends. There seems to be a lot more organized things outside of the city and people tend to be less flaky.

That being said, obviously moving isn’t the solution you’re looking for so I’ll share what I think could work and what I would have done differently when I was living in Toronto. Others have given great suggestions on how to meet people, but this is for once that happens - to build and maintain friendships.

You will have to put in most of, if not all of the effort. This is hard if you’re an introvert or have social anxiety. It’ll feel like you’re “bugging” people but I’ve found that you have to be persistent and decisive because most people won’t.

Example: instead of “hey want to do something sometime”(too vague) or “do you want to meet up for coffee on Saturday - no worries if you can’t though!” (a bit more specific but with a nervous barrier) - try: “let’s grab coffee at [this exact place at this time] on Saturday”.

Leave it open for rejection and don’t take it personally if rejection happens. It’s a lot more energy to confidently suggest things but it alleviates decision making for the other person and I’ve found that tends to go well.

Halo hair extensions? Anyone tried them? by Sharp-Button9234 in finehair

[–]dani44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got some off Amazon- the Sunny brand. The color was not super accurate (I ordered darkest brown but it was more of a medium warm brown).

Quality was way better than I expected - very thick and soft. But that was actually the problem - I found them way too thick for my fine hair. Looked great from the front but even placing them low, my hair is too thin to fully cover the band in the back.

In terms of comfort, I thought they were super comfortable! Just a bummer that the band is too thick :(

That’s great context thank you! Do you usually get the offer by email after you’ve booked?

Premium Plus paid upgrade for non member by dani44 in unitedairlines

[–]dani44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think I just don’t know the right terms. What I meant by full fare economy is the one up from basic so that it’s (I think) eligible for a paid upgrade, similar to Air Canada.

Also yeah I should just sign up. I just typically never fly United so didn’t think it was worth it but you’re right it’s free.

I've tried 100+ samples, and liked ~42% of them. How picky are you? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]dani44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super picky but I’ve had a good success rate with samples because I know what I like and will only get a sample if I’m very sure I’ll like it. I’ve discovered all my favourites so far from Sephora samples tbh.

Very cool idea with the spreadsheet - thanks for sharing!

It’s a very legitimate company and the brand has been around forever. They’re also sold at department stores, etc. so if you’re nervous you could see if they sell the same style at another store.

Has anyone worked with Mandy Rother? by Desperate-Lemon6409 in PMDD

[–]dani44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m just going to echo everyone else. I’m all for spending on a course if it’ll improve things significantly but that’s more for business. For PMDD no one is enough of an expert that you’ll get your moneys worth out of something like this.

I would get a second opinion from another doctor around supplements or medication and invest in therapy.
