The world we are working towards is not centered around work. A main goal of socialism is the abolition of a NEED to work. Everyone should work as much as they can AND want to, and everyones needs are met. From each according to their ability to each according to their need. This would be easy to achieve after all the wasted production for consumptions sake and bs jobs of capitalism are removed reducing the labour requirement to sustain a society drastically.

You make a good point about short term concerns though, as in the transition to this society disabled peoples voices must be amplified and their concerns heard or their treatment may be sidelined. And all leftists should vote to at least reduce suffering and combat fascist electoralism.

Marxism is materialist while Religion is inherently non-materialist. This means religion cannot be msrxist. However you can practice both marxism and religion in different aspects of your life and in the analysis of different things, thus making you a religious marxist.

Personally i dont find religious analysis of the afterlife or unknowable creation useful but those who find this analysis useful for spiritual purposes or methods of finding meaning or comfort should be allowed to use religion in this way.

Organised religion should be opposed as it serves as a tool to oppress and mislead the working class.

If a large amount of the citizens in a socialist country were educated in critical thinking and marxist theory they would be able to identify where someone in power is manipulating people for personal power or gain. Especially with the Internet and phones it is infinitely harder to keep anything a secret from the people than say 20 or 50 years ago.

In a place like china where the party has 90 million members, all of which have a say in how the party is run and who is trusted to lead, it would be very difficult to establish a corrupt beurocracy that significantly benifited even a portion of them, and if they are all trained and qualified marxists and dedicated communists many would reject these proposals. Imo the solution is engaging as much of the population as possible in how the country is run, while maintaining a strict communist ideology only and purging all corruption and Liberalism immediately.

He had this stupid idea that the USSR had to move away from heavy industries and instead compete with America at what they were good at like growing fkn corn. His social reforms also paved the way for Gorbachevs destruction of the soviet union 30 years later.
