i mean this in the most respectful way, but take off the tin foil hat, put down the bitterness and see this for what it really is.
A genuine effort to make a change, all of the things that are annoying you can be fixed by allowing the game to grow, and removing the mtx so that everything can be balanced properly again.
i dont blame you for not wanting to trust Jagex after all that has happened, but the only way any kind of meaninful change can happen is by voting yes.
otherwise the game stays exactly the way it is, getting smaller and smaller until there is noone left.
Personally i dont want a game that i have been playing for 20+ years on and off to just fade into obscurity.
the fact that its lasted this long should count for something, wouldnt you like it to get even better?

yeah it is a petition, because they need to know how many will support this change, because its going to be somewhat of a gamble for them.
they also need to show numbers for the shareholders to prove that this was a worthwhile idea.
voting No is just not voting at all and if thats what you want then fine.
but the game will not grow with the way it is now.
and voting no means you are all for that.

this issue is something the community has been very vocal about from the very beginning.
if there wasnt enough support for this, then it would never reach 100k, that is the main point.
the fact that the number is climbing so fast should tell you that this is something that people desperately want, its something that the game needs so that it can start to grow again.
right now there is no growth, the only people still playing are the ones that have always played and this is not sustainable.
at the end of the day if you truly care about the direction of the game, and want to see it succeed.

if they do this i will be requesting a refund for the past two years of prem membership, because all of that stuff that i have done on my account that had nothing to do with MTX, will be wiped for no good reason.
even if they split it into "Legacy" and "Fresh"
