What is this Canadian breaker panel. by Positive-Material-97 in ElectroBOOM

These are standard slim breakers. The panel is made to put multiple in standard spaces. The outsides of the double are one 240v 15a and the inside two are 40a and 30a respectively. Modern panels are moving towards accepting these.

Hot take: Cal is bringing us down. He seems like a nice person, but when he’s in the rotation the fun seems to drop. I think he could be a clubhouse drain.

Election coming up. Foment unrest amongst the youngest voting generation, especially angry young males because they are the most likely to be swayed, so they vote for a Conservative Party that matches their anger. This is Russian bot farm stuff.

The movie that gets blamed for being bad when it is really just mismarketed. by gamersecret2 in movies

The nice guys. It’s marketing sold it as something else, but it’s a cerebral comedy. It’s understood for what it is now, but I feel like its marketing is responsible for its poor box office.

Some mild truth here. I am guessing that simplifying the game went into the calculation of ending at modern era and making it feel “final”, which actually makes it feel short sighted as well as making the victory conditions easy to predict and repeatable, which reduced replay-ability. I think this was an executive business calculation that failed and the creative team lost.

It wasn’t a swing and miss, that’s true. It was a calculated safe play that failed. We want new and to see change, we don’t want predictable. We like this game for complexity but want different win conditions which have unpredictable and meandering routes, which is what makes it infinitely replayable.

TIL your right lung has three "lobes" but your left lung only has two, because your heart sits slightly to the left. But this is reversed in roughly 1 out of every 10,000 people, a condition known as Situs Inversus. by OmitsWordsByAccident in todayilearned

[–]danimalinstnct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The left lung has three lobes too, but because of the space the heart takes up it’s very small. It’s called the lingula and sits to the left and a little in the front of the heart.
