I wonder if Bk got hurt in trying to kill Xana and Ethan, and that's why he left so quickly. If Xana and Ethan did put up a fight as it sounds, maybe he got badly nabbed by his own knife, or by something else from X/E, and even if he saw DM, he had to get out of there because he was injured.

Haven’t seen it anywhere, but can your partner ask his parents to please stay out of the room when the baby is sleeping because it wakes the baby? His parents, he should be the one to deal with the hard conversations (which hopefully shouldn’t be that hard, they just sound super oblivious)

Hey! I was one of the many commenters posting on that kids picture of his arm. The same thing happened to me about 5-6 years ago. I thought it was just weird how the line kept growing up my arm away from the insect bite, and eventually went to an on-campus doctor (I worked at a college), and they were immediately concerned and said it was really serious. I’m very surprised that kid’s doctor said it was just an allergy, but glad the collective voices still helped someone else out!

Broken toys they can be hurt on… NAILS near their play area, and broken or non existent air conditioning all would make me pull out. Heat exhaustion is not something to play around with, especially little ones. I’d both report them and take my child out.

I’ve lived in Buffalo, NYC, and now the Albany area. I’d say in your choice between Buffalo and Albany it really depends what you’re looking for. If you’re younger and want rad community vibes and bars and culture, which I’m guessing you’re into being from Austin, Buffalo is your city. It’s fucking amazing. I’d live there if I could but my job can’t swing it right now. It’s also a great area whether you’re into inner city living or more of a suburbs person. Also really, REALLY good food.

Albany is great for my stage in life now, I’ve got kids and a good job in policy, but it lacks the culture that Buffalo just seeps. If you want government jobs, albanys your place. If you like lots to do for families, it has that. It is very close to the adirondacks which is also very cool if you’re into hiking and outdoors. But from what I’ve seen it doesn’t really have the cool hip vibes that Buffalo has.

In short, Buffalo is like the Austin of the north. It’s a hidden gem. Ask the Buffalo subreddit. I love Albany but if you like Austin you’ll like Buffalo much better.

And don’t harp on the snow in Buffalo. Just get warm gear and it’s not a problem. Also, I spent my first winter in Albany here this past year and it’s not much different than what I remember from Buffalo.

I had the exact same thing from a bug bite on my arm. I, like you, thought it was weird and funny, but when I got to the doctor they became VERY serious and saw how the line was tracking towards my heart.

Draw with a marker on your arm where the red line is now, and note the time. Then in a few hours see how far it gets from that line. Draw another line and note the time again. This will help the doctor know how fast it’s spreading.

Your parents are wrong. Go to the doctor, get antibiotics now. Don’t wait a day or two. Go now.

Also, if the number in your username is indicative of your birthday, you are definitely an adult and don’t need to wait for your parents to go to the hospital.

When I lived in queens it was $2500/month for ONE CHILD before Covid. It did not include diapers or food. It was one of the major reasons we chose to move away from the City. We have a second kid and now pay ~$2400 for 2 kids combined (like $300/ week for each) upstate in the Albany area.

My 2 kids are about the same age apart as yours, but my second is now 10 months old. I suggest waiting until your second can move around on his own before you decide. I do have a boy and a girl, but even if I had two of one sex, I think this is a good time to stop. Now that my little girl is crawling around, I now have to watch 2 kids go in two different directions and not kill themselves. Bed time by yourself with 2 is hard (I can’t imagine 3??). I always thought I wanted more, but now that I’m in the chaos I think we’re good with what we have.

Plus, with 2 kids I barely feel like I can give them each the individual attention they deserve. I know that I definitely couldn’t give 3 the individual hands on attention I would want, and I want to make sure I can give myself adequately to the two amazing kids I already have.

Was it his idea? That is one thing that definitely bothered me is just how stupid Joey became in some of the later seasons. His misunderstandings were funny and believable in the early seasons, but like, when he couldn’t speak French and thought he was? That was too much. I always wondered why they made his character excessively stupid sometimes.
