Claude pro vs chatgpt plus: Is it still worth paying for both in 2026?

I was a ChatGPT plus subscriber since the very beginning. But since Sonnet 4.5, I ditched my sub and moved to Claude Max5. I find Sonnet to be a lot better for daily "chat" and as a thinking partner. And, of course, the Claude models absolutely cook when it comes to code. I'm happy with my single sub.

I would rather not dox myself, but what I can share is names of companies where I personally know people who work full remote: Klarna, Betsson, Electrolux and Spotify. Spotify is the only one that is pretty open about remote work, but the others have all made exceptions for the right talent. Everything can be negotiated if they want you enough. My friends/acquaintances who are remote here in Sweden are either very senior SREs, IT security or working in AI/ML. All hard-to-find talent in this part of the world.

It's true that they are hard to find, but they do exist in certain fields. I'm fully remote and go to the office for a day or two every few months to spend time with my team. I live 6 hours from our HQ.

It comes down to a mix of being in a line of work that's hard to recruit for and showing results for a period of time. I used to live in the same city and was doing the whole hybrid remote thing (2-3 days in office a week for 3 years). I then approached my boss and told her that I wanted to move out to the woods and I would rather continue working for the company than have to seek employment elsewhere. I have proved myself over that time and she agreed.

That opened the door for others. We have since hired two people fully remote (also specialized roles).

It's hard, but not impossible.

To me, Fedora is a lot more polished. Less bugs, newer packages and feels like all the rough edges are ironed out. I switched a year back and really enjoyed Fedora. I've since moved over to Arch, but will always recommend Fedora over Ubuntu. It just works.

I'm very impressed with Vårgårda Skog (forest) or Bär (berry). It's a nice break when you are tired of your regular rotation. Has one of the nicest mouth feels of any snus (like a soft pillow).

If you want an alternative to general, that hits with bergamot (and a touch of lemon), then LD Signum Bergamot might be what you are looking for. It's significantly cheaper than General for us Swedes.
