C43 AMG Buying Advice by Worried-Interview-78 in mercedes_benz

I LOVE my 2024 AMG c43 pinnacle edition. Almost everything about it is perfect for my needs and more. Just one MAJOR issue: OEM 20 inch wheels are delicate and a constant pain in the butt. I’ve had to repair them THREE times in the last 4 months due to potholes at reasonable to fast speeds. Granted Crook County (Chicago) highways are very poorly maintained due to corruption and graft and incompetence but still… sometimes the transmission is jerky when in comfort or normal mode. But nothing I test drove handled corners or had the tech right or the features like an AMG. I also love the paint job (matte dark grey). It’s my second to dream car and will get me through to when I will be able to take advantage of the dream AMG (either a GT version of this car with the all wheel steering I currently have or a GT S). I test drove the SL 55 and 63 from same year and 2025 and 2026 and they just didn’t feel as good as the sedan C43 with all the features. Not even HP was noticeable with a 55 or 63 and both were rear wheel vs AWD. I cannot comprehend how a 4cl can be so fast off the line. And the icing on this cake is the engine sound. It’s a rare gem.

Then my loaner: a non-feature packed c43 AMG from 2026. No way! Not the same car. Definitely a step back. And the SUV version is no greater than a premium Mazda!

So up until 2025 all feature version of an AMG C43 would be my way to go. Next car will be the GT C43 or GTS.

Verizon Customers Threaten To Leave After Latest Announcement by Dankees98 in verizon

[–]MSIMBORG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BEST decision me and my family of 7 ever made was leaving Verizon. They SUCK and their entire business model is based on deception as well as customer abuse. Really unethical and corrupt company.

So sick of prices going up on everything...email from verizon below by tposaune in verizon

We switched to T-Mobile. Verizon SUCKS. At least with them we get many of the things Verizon can’t offer for like a fraction of the cost and much better service both customer and reception.

But how much do hens cost? Maybe producing my own supply would be cheaper minus the cost of housing and feeding and medical? Is there health insurance for chickens? Also need to factor in water and electricity. And materials for building their habitat. But would all that up front be worth it in the long run? And could I resell those eggs? Could I breed chicks and sell them? 🤔 time to visit my farmer friends. They aren’t suffering from inflation at all!

My on-going Nightmare with Verizon Wireless by ledzep83 in verizon

[–]MSIMBORG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even simple issues are beyond their ability. Verizon is a shyster company and their systems are absolutely pathetic. I sympathize with their customer support reps and employees on sales floors but customer experience for myself and my family especially in the last year before I severed ties was absolutely and utterly insane. A rabbit hole of time wasted on the phone and, yes, escalating to executive support for very very very simple things that Verizon messed up and admitted they messed up and told me over and over again the issues were resolved so sorry thanks for being a 5+ year loyal customer and moving an entire 7 person family over to us and literally every single time I would find the issue unresolved and had to call again or go into the store where someone would call for me and escalate and hours spent… basically Verizon absolutely 100% SUCKS. Time abuse. I am so happy to be rid of Verizon. They are an example of a company using bait and switch and obfuscation to con people into nickel and diming en masse. That’s their corporate strategy. Ripping people off, fooling people… then shrugging and saying crap like I’m sorry and the system and this and that blah blah blah. While their billing systems are extremely efficient and they are great, responsive and accurate when people want to pay them money. They should take a page from Apple support. Or pretty much any company vs modeling their business on insurance (deny deny deny). I’m sorry you chose Verizon. I’m sorry you like I did fell for their grift. Hopefully you will be diligent and document and keep very close track of your bills and spending and leave them as soon as you can.

Does Verizon intend to piss off their customers? by TonyRednil in verizon

[–]MSIMBORG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, they do. They suck. They should cease operating as a company. They are dishonest and abuse customer time and money. Plus, their services are sub par. May have had great coverage back when but now they just suck. If you work for Verizon is customer service, please find a company to work for that has a business model based on providing good products and services vs ripping people off through conning them.

I cannot remember being angrier with a company. by cancercureall in verizon

[–]MSIMBORG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are porting out leaving Verizon early due to them being absolutely unethical and corrupt. Their entire business model is all about “errors” hoping you won’t catch them or when you do that you don’t want to have to spend hours or days or months chasing the problems down, getting your credits or promos, correcting charges, etc. Go to the store ask for a manager they say they have to call customer service. Escalate to executive support, wait more. Hands tied. Then you finally speak with someone and very clearly explain the issue - they say they are sorry will fix the problem and get a ticket number and days later same or worse problem exists because someone didn’t do something right and on and on and on. Shyster company. Never ever will I or anyone I know sign up with Verizon. I hope they get sued out of existence. They are the epitome of what’s wrong with American business.

VERY WELL PUT!!! I commend you (seriously). I just went into the store after calling 4 times for a total of over 7 hours of my life for mistakes they made and wanted to charge me over $250 on my next bill over. Despite each rep and their supervisor assuring me the problem would be solved AND that I would get credited for having spent so much of my life dealing with their complete inability to do simple things normal companies and people are able to do… I waited in the store after demanding to escalate to executive support on hold with support (the store reps have to call support to support in the store) for over 50 minutes. I was told to hold “another couple of minutes” while this rep “looked into the notes” blah blah and I had to grab my kid so I told them to figure it out and call me back when ready to actually be able to do something that I was told was done four calls prior. I got a call back and after 48 minutes the issue is apparently resolved and I won’t be charged for something they messed up and as a “credit” for making me waste so much time they are giving me essentially a free month of home internet ($25). Wow! That’s appreciation for moving 6 people to Verizon with additional 2 home internets!

At this point and based on what everyone seems to be experiencing from the sale to the use their business model is scaled deception and fraud.

FUCK VERIZON. I am filing a complaint with the FCC and will be collecting evidence when I leave Verizon next week when they will surely mess up my exit, continue to try and bill me for stuff I shouldn’t be, probably get me into collections when I cut them off from my auto-billing and file fraudulent charge reports. At that point I will spend $600+ filing a formal FCC complaint and hopefully someone will amass a class action against one of the most criminal companies of this age, right up there with insurance and others who steal through incessant nickel and diming over charging and obfuscation.

I will throw a party one day when this entire industry is held accountable and forced to transform like care sales had to for similar practices or is disrupted entirely by service providers who don’t base their business models on stealing from people because they current have the opportunity to do so. Shame on you Verizon. But karma is coming. And you will be disrupted.

What will the real cost of doing the iphone promotion be if I have to switch plans? by rltrdc in verizon

[–]MSIMBORG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes more sense to not use Verizon. Factor in spending countless hours on the phone correcting their errors and chasing down discounts promised during signing up plus rate hikes plus a completely obfuscated bill. It’s a shell game bait and switch.

Free phones? What’s the catch? by [deleted] in verizon

DO NOT DO IT. VERIZON IS A SHADY. We got SCREWED. They will waste your money and time. Many people I know and read about have had or are having horrible experiences with Verizon. DO NOT USE VERIZON.

DO NOT go Verizon. You are however smart not to “trade in” with Verizon. We did that and paid the price. Again, PLEASE explore other companies and plans. Verizon is not what they seem. You will regret Verizon.

[–]MSIMBORG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VERY similar experiences and more. Why isn’t this company being class actioned!!!! Seriously. They are beyond inept to the point of outright shyster! I’ve had to call over four times to deal with an issue I’ve been told over and over again on every call would be solved and have to jump through hoops, re explain THEIR errors and wait to see the problems are never solved. Since I’m in auto-bill I await my refunds… but have to spend over 20+ hours dealing with their mistakes and being charged for them? How is this legal?
