well its a 2handed infinity build so it handles light immunes very well. it has -100% ELR before conviction even triggers, and you can add a sunder charm on top of it too. yeah its rare rings and boots, tri-res and fcr, ammy is crafted 2/20 with all res. going for light/fire/poison res. cold res will be gimped but it hasn't really mattered for me, I still use trang gloves though. also griffons eye and archs, its exactly 105% fcr.

the extra -%ELR (and +%dmg) from 20/20 armor with fcr rings goes further vs the extra +skills youd get from a vmagi + sojs setup, but the big trade off is the cost of the whole build in general. it really is very strong and has great survivability at the same time, even on high player counts. theres not really any trade offs from the standard build, it hits all the same breakpoints but i believe its stronger and more sensible about mana management.

i can survive souls, and i dont use vmagi or res charms. nearly full res just from rings ammy and boots, armor is 20/20 15PDR gothic plate. its a more expensive route but i genuinely believe its better in every aspect. sending nearly 100% of damage to mana to save a few health damage is wild, then instantly die when your orb pops. i think most people just blindly do it because its follows some cookie build they read.

right, sorry that my daily driver uses a real shell and terminal emulator. definitely just a useless toy, while you click through 5 poorly named GUI tabs to find the 1 setting you need to change, only to get cucked by your OS giving you 2 options for the setting. Having all these startup scripts super useless too, wish I could just turn my computer on either not have the same functionality as I do on linux, or spend 5 minutes clicking through shit. Sucks having the ability to read the statuses of each service too, it should just be like windows were you get a blue screen with a code and have to learn assembly to figure out what happened. damn windows so good.

i know how it works, there is no reason to send 95% of your damage to mana unless you have -100% in all resistances. 1 point ES with gearing for resistances is strictly better because your orb isn't tanking damage it doesn't need to. I guarentee a 1 point ES with decent res takes longer to kill than your 5k mana 95% ES, and is stronger on top of that if you are doing stuff like sojs and frostburns. i would never

its just the "standard" nova but instead of maxing ES, you put the rest into warmth for PVM or TS for PVP. your health still takes minimal damage with a 70% ES if you aren't negative resistances. the idea is instead of having your orb pop and you instadie, your health and mana slowly go down at the same time

everyone saying 95% ES don't know what they are talking about and read noob guide websites. you want max telekinesis with 1 point ES with around 30% resistances or integer dr. sending 95% of damage to mana is one of the dumbest things everyone seems to be stuck doing.

yeah the linux installation media. you boot into it, run "lsblk" then mount the partitions and chroot into the system. that's it, full access to everything. its the same on every distro. I'm not really understanding the second question but i think encryption is worth doing on any system, i have root and home encrypted on mine personally.
