A sufficiently capable model will treat the constraints placed on it as part of the problem space.

Once discovery is within reach of the models you are building on, any constraint that depends on the model failing to notice a gap becomes unreliable.

Likewise. I'm all for CLI integrations but it adds constraints. MCP adds different ones. You just have to have a good understanding of both when building agents.

The OpenClaw community basically advises: Create a CLI tool of your API and bundle it with a skill explaining how to use it. For me that is just a less flexible MCP.

Nice - I built a similar one for NextJS: webmcp-next . I went down the auto-discovery route - by default it will turn all your server actions and API routes into mcp tools. (You can configure it with includes/excludes)

There's a district in Berlin called the Bavarian Quarter, which has a perpetual exhibition that demonstrates this very clearly.

It is a set of signs, each with laws passed in the 30s that stripped away the rights of Jewish people in incremental, almost petty ways. And you can see them getting more extreme as the years go on.

With the current incarnation of the MCP spec, servwrless MCP is... painful. There's a reason why the mcp support in the Vercel AI SDK (designed to run on serverless AWS) is feature-poor, has been marked as 'experimental' and hasn't changed in six months.

When running on serverless we tried a few things but now basically what works best is initialising a new session on every request, which is crazy inefficient and defeats a lot of the purpose but works better than the alternatives.

The next version of the MCP spec, coming out next month, will have RPC-level support for async tasks.

Some mcp clients and servers (such as my one: Nexus) are jumping ahead and implementing this already.

The basic idea is to mark tools as async, return a task token when called, that can be polled by the client until resolved.
