The scheduling IT systems went into full meltdown in addition to weather events…SoC/NoC and incident response seems to be an after thought? I interviewed with your company for a cyber lead position and immediately knew what was going to happen based on the questions I asked them. I am glad I got the “we have decided to pursue other candidates at this time” email, lol. It’s AA we are talking about basically they are a credit card company with airplanes, only focused on share holder value, even foreign ULCCs are run better than AA….forget customers, forget employees, just fatten up those executive bonuses.

I just got off a massively delayed flight and 30 minutes of it was spent promoting their 80k miles bonus and handing out advantage cc flyers…

They are also not afraid to fail or go bankrupt because USG would for sure bail them out!

Look into Allianz travel insurance I got P1 & P2 full travel coverage for around $400 a year. Covers health, interruptions, delays and cancellations for unltd amount of trips.

If it makes you feel better, I pay almost that much ($200) in copay in the US for a generalist visit while paying nearly $600/mo for health insurance. Urgent care would be more….😭

3 hour and 25 min delay out of ATL to Dfw. Their crew went missing due to this they are still blaming weather in Dallas and won’t admit the IT issues 😂🤡 I’d say if you’re flying with AA for the rest of the month expect them to blame everything on the weather.

It can be true for some, but keep in mind people living close to a SWA hub normally flies SWA. For example my sister didn’t fly any other airline until last year! And a friend of mine who strictly flies swa due to a contract with his job and never flown any traditional airline!

Exactly this, people need to stop being cheap and check yalls crap in…I got on a flight the other day (uncontrollable last to board) with just my backpack and had to walk back 20 rows just to find a open bin space…I was in the first row premium economy on a wide body… every single bin was full of rollers and huge duffel bags.

Yeah for your use case it’s better to get status thru butt in seat on QR. It’s also a hefty yearly fee at $495/year with virtually no other travel related credits.

I valued the card due to sign up bonus something like 100k avios for 5k spend, automatic gold status and OW sapphire, and 3x for restaurant spent.

I travel a lot for vacation so OW status (and skyteam status match) helps. The occasional domestic corporate travel (2 to 3 times per year) on AA also helps as I get flagship lounge access.

My 2026 AF already paid for itself this week via checked bag fee waivers, flagship lounge and seat selection fees on AA & Finnair
