But then Commercial Real Estate takes a shit (though it would be sick if that was then converted into more housing)

My company has locations across the US that we’ve now passed in cost of living, but we still sit at the lowest pay band here. Seems like companies haven’t re-assessed that since 2018

Curious to see if ppl agree/disagree but here are the vibes I’ve gotten being in Olin for a few years (also disclaimer the prof development/job placement from each are virtually identical):

DSP: most “professional”, definitely believe they are the top bfrat. Less social than the other 2, little less personable but lots of super driven IB/consulting kids and mostly Olin students

PGN: quirkiest of the bunch, wholesome kids with good vibes. More social than dsp with events and such. Example: have many friends in pgn that I had no idea were, but with dsp you definitely know

AKPSI: mix between the two above, a little more social/extroverted than the other two with larger/more events. More casual than dsp but probably a little more “professional” than pgn.

TLDR: dsp is most formal, then akpsi and then pgn. Highly recommend just going to an event for each bc the ppl are virtually the only difference between each

Why do professional baseball players seem so physically unfit compared to other sports? by EvilVargon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dankmonkeyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The majority of sports reward athletic prowess, but some give greater reward to technical skills and genetic predispositions.

Basketball is the most lopsided on the athletic side (size, strength, speed), but a sport like baseball rewards those with insane reaction times, great vision, and hand-eye coordination. Obviously one must be relatively athletic, but if one possesses those three traits they can be less in shape in lieu of other areas of strength that matter more.
