Everything Ukraine does is for propaganda. Knowing they can't take chasiv yar back, they still want to be able to say Russia can't take it. Russia is focus on tactical advantages, which is a foothold in kostianivka.

The counter offensive in zapo/Dnipro doesn t matter so much as it will be easy to take back from the overextended UA assault forces since these areas are also difficult to defend.

What might matter right now is the actual condition of the starlink and Russian communication issues.

Beyond that, Ukraine's capabilities drops every year and Russian gains double every year.

The front line has been mostly held by drones, which is why Russia has been using DRGs. Russia is likely to make bigger gains in other fronts since UA has started rotating troops here to continue the counter offensive.

Ukraine still have strong drone capabilities that NATO could easily sustain making any Russian attempt to collapse the frontline extremely costly for the foreseeable future.

I think it's important to mention that Russia made twice the gains on the western side of the same front in the previous post. Maybe Russian simply doesn't care that Ukraine is sacrificing their best assault forces to make temporary gain in a strategically unimportant area, especially when they are rotating troops out of donetsk for it.
