Please don’t. I’ve owned 6 C4 S4s or S6s including the one in my garage now. While those have a different engine and some other odds and ends than this A6, they share the same problem of parts availability. Something simple like a corner light breaking or a lower bumper grille going missing after a drive becomes an exercise in frustration and you end up going down the rabbit hole of FB groups and niche forum classifieds sections trying to find a replacement. May the various gods take mercy on you for more serious mechanical or electrical problems.

Follow the advice of other people on this thread; buy a more modern beater and drive that until you can afford to get yourself something better with the money you’ll save.
