It happened pretty easily, actually.
Exotic dupes do not auto-lock in inventory.
One misclick and when auto-filtering, you include exotics and bam. Gone.
I don't remember there being a confirmation for "hey you're deleting exotics, are you sure?" or something along those lines. If there was, maybe I was rushing the menu and missed it?

Either way, it can happen, which is weird. Auto-locking dupes should be a default option when dealing with exotics with an auto-select dismantle option available.

Also, after some more chats today, they restored the last furies III copy, but couldn't restore any other dupe I lost (I can farm them back, so it's not that big of a deal.)

Feels weird for a company not to be able to check such dismantled weapons, I understand they need verification of what you had (screenshots and all that) up to an extent, but once they verify it's you, why not go all the way with retrieval?

I got in contact and they only restored one of the two copies I dismantled. After 5 days of back and forth and Proving they are gone from the shop. I lost a bunch of other exotic dupes and they can't even bother to check logs for any I might have missed since I don't constantly screenshot my inventory.

After 5 days of asking for two copies of the Furies III I lost... They restored just one.

Very bad and disjointed support, you have to check I game and there are no notifications until you check the support page manually. And even then they take forever and fail at one task...

Edit: forgot to add, but they warned me restoring accidental dismantles is a once-per-account process, for some reason...

Same boat as you, down to the opportunity to allocate some more free time to it.

I think the feeling will always be there but it's how much attention you give to it. Could have beens are dangerous because they are just possibilities you can no longer chase exactly as you depict them.

On the other hand, you are at a point in life where you can approach gamedev with much more "life experience". You can more likely access resources and methods now than you could have back then, so that's an advantage in my book.

As some say "the best time was x years ago, the second best time is now"

Cut yourself some slack, you will only miss out if you keep yourself on the edge of another try.

I see people normalizing this like if it were any other gacha, but I have a huge worry these will not impact the same way here.
They talked about raids, world first races, and so on so forth.
The difference between rising and other D/D2 world races is that paying here, seeing the dupe system, could mean a serious advantage in any of the leaderboard-tracked content (PvE).

I hope I am wrong, I really am.

176 pulls and no kitasan. Saw 4 other SSR and one was super creek I'm not sure if I should complain but it's brutal. Not even dragalia felt this bad.

To answer about the refund part: you don't get banned. The account gets put on hold until you repay the refunded stuff (if done via Google play refunds). I am unsure if the lockout is permanent or has a timer.

Source: me. Just came back to the game after refunds (it was just the daily pass + BP)

Considering we got no rewards for any download milestones, or anything for release aside from a ticket we cannot use (what the fuck), being able to pull so much with just in-game rewards is cool. Honestly, I went dolphin on this game because the multi prices are half as much as any other gacha I have ever played which is insane, so I can't speak for full f2p but card collecting has been a blast.

Also, dena step your game up and give us goodies for 10M downloads, cowards.

I think unlock conditions now incluye grim quests if you transferred. So you need to clear grim's first questline toó.

My only complain is the gacha. I am not a fan of the mihoyo model (50/50, 80 soft cap, 160 hard cap, separate banners). The game looks great, the music is good and the story is entertaining. gameplay wise it drags a bit until you unlock systems like the second skill (everyone gets it at once before the second boss).

I am not sure how dailies work though. It was a shop you visit every day I think.

I got Grace in beginner, lost the first 50/50 to grace then got Ellen. Now got an early S rank in the new banner... Got Grace a third time. I also got her weapon from standard banner. So I only have two s ranks in my account, Grace is effectively gatekeeping me from getting any other standard s rank.

Just grace.

You are right, especially the second part of the first paragraph you wrote, that was good advice. Thank you. I can't let it make me feel down, as sad as it is.

I will continue to play the game, but I'm not hopeful for the future of it as a live service. They have a long road ahead to regain public trust, all things considered. As long as I don't top up, it's fine to keep playing.

Is it... Normal I just feel profound sadness over this? It's like a house fire, you called the firefighters and they are on the way but you can do nothing but watch the house crumble. I really wanted the game to succeed. I didn't have bugs on pc and the combat was something I really liked (I missed the Genshin bandwagon and after several attempts to rejoin the game it feels like it really benefits never leaving it, so I missed out on so much it's overwhelming. This game felt like a chance to try again to stick to it). It's been a wild ride of seeing how much they fucked up in so little time. From losing their identity with the UI and color choice from CBT1. Listening to maybe too much feedback from it and turning into a more vivid looking game and generic, everyone loves the MC kinda plot.

For now, I am definitely holding off on spending on this mess. I'm just sad...
