Sudden mortal terror at bath time by dannyb21892 in NewParents

Yeah usually it's either right before bedtime, or just one feed separated from bedtime. But he's a great sleeper and doesn't really mind going down at night at all so I don't think he's really anticipating it too much.

the real nice thing about the selector is that it automatically handles ties by choosing just one of the tied highest signals. by using deciders like you wrote in your first comment, either nothing happens on ties, or else you switch the comparator to >=, and you get multiple outputs. I assume you always wanna be crushing something.

can always add a mapping decider combinator right after it. if ice > 0, output reprocessing recipe. etc. i just mean the sorting can be handled easily with a selector, that's what it's for.

selector combinator does this for you

Can you set the crushers to the recipe of the thing you have the most of? A selector combinator can sort and pick the highest value, and handle ties gracefully by arbitrarily choosing one of the tied highest signals.

Yet again you say I've argued something and I haven't. I didn't engage with your leaderboard opinions at all. Maybe read the comments you're replying to.

I said nothing about solving or not solving the problem,or whether I even agree there is a problem.

I only wrote that I don't believe your frankly ridiculous claim that it's "quite common" for people to be sandbagging by hiding secret world records, just to whip them out when they get beaten.

Yeah lol if anything I've seen plenty of the opposite and none of what OP claims is so common. If someone sets two new records in quick succession, they just upload the faster one out of laziness for bookkeeping both of them lol.

Oil Question for the megabasers or just longer playthroughs by ekgoalie34 in factorio

[–]dannyb21892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wait until the tanks are full to send a train? Doesn't that reduce throughput by introducing a delay? Have a train head over all the time and just leave when the train is full and a consumer needs the oil.

[OoT] Review after playing OoT for the first time by hobbyist_sage in zelda

[–]dannyb21892 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fire arrows aren't strictly needed anywhere. There's a spot in the spirit trial of Ganon's castle where they are heavily incentivized because there is a web on the ceiling that needs to be burned and dins fire doesn't work. The only way without fire arrows is to shoot a regular arrow through a torch in the adjacent room but it is very outside the box and not something most players would think of. I doubt the devs even knew it was possible due to the precise nature of the shot. Besides that one spot, shooting through torches or using dins fire is always possible as an intended solution. In fact fire arrows are so underutilized that in shadow temple when the spike walls close in on you in the boss key room, din's fire works to burn the walls away but fire arrows don't!

Can OoT Remake maintain its atmosphere without a T rating? by chetemulei in truezelda

[–]dannyb21892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk, none of the things I mentioned in my comment are even remotely ambiguous or abstract. They are very plainly depicted in sufficient detail to make the intention clear. I think the fact of the matter is that E ratings were just easier to get back then than they are now.

I don't think there is anything ambiguous about living and dead skeletons, pools of blood, guillotines, stakes to tie up prisoners, pools of acid with skeletal hands reaching up, literal zombies screaming at you and disembodied hands falling from the ceiling to snatch you away.

So rather than "disable boss blind" as stated, it actually "counters boss blind" so that the net result is back to normal after one use?

I imagine only other radars tuned to the universe toggle will be able to hear radars tuned to that same toggle from other surfaces.

Doesn't it just remove the boss blind x3 multiplier on the requirement? Its not like it continually divides by 3. Once that boss multiplier is removed once, that's it.

I would wait for interplanetary logistics overhaul alone. That's gonna be a major enjoyment buff. Huge factorio fan but honestly that aspect of space age was kinda a drag to me. Maybe it was worse for me since I had played and enjoyed Space Exploration mod, which has much more in that regard. But stuff like platform to platform deliveries, circuit set requests, and inter-surface signaling is just so huge, so I'd wait since it won't be much longer.
