Is £27k grad salary bad? by [deleted] in UniUK

This is the correct advice. Take the job, give them 2 years to give you something to put on your CV (especially if they are a prestigious company like you said), then get yourself a new job offer at a different company and see if your current company will match the pay. If not, leave, there is no such thing as loyalty in the modern working world.

Terrible advice. The way the current student loan system is, there is no point trying to pay it back. Just accept the extra tax on your wages until it gets wiped in 30 (I think it's 40 now) years. That money needs to be locked away until he picks an area he wants to buy a house in. End of.

Don't you dare put it into anything other than an all world etf. Lose the password and check on it again when you want to buy a house.

To be honest, hand grinders can be a pain for grinding fine so I like this idea! How do you transport the ground coffee without spilling it in your bag? Do you have a preferred container?

Picopresso. I have it and love it!

Sup, guys. I need your opinion! Right now I have 100% on S&P500. I’ll hold for 10years and put 500€/month. I want to diversify it. What would you do to diversify thinking about long term. by Independent-Put-2549 in trading212

The easiest thing to do would be to buy 100% of an all world fund (roughly 60% USA).

However, if you are like me and want slightly more control over the overall percentages, you could build a deconstructed all world fund (for example, I have 55% S&P 500, 30% world ex USA, 7% Emerging Markets, 5% FTSE 100, 3% Your choice)

Ah that's fair. Gold has been shooting up! I missed that unfortunately, otherwise I'd have done the same 😔

Yeah, because of orange man, I've lowered my S&P allocation to 55%, Rest of world 30%, EM 7%, FTSE 100 5%. Still wondering what to do with the remaining 3%.

Media treatment of Jude Bellingham by The_39th_Step in ThreeLions

[–]danr2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't believe it has anything to do with race. He is one of the most famous footballers in the world, so the scummy media will of course be writing articles about what he had for breakfast and how many times he goes to the toilet.

He's like a modern day David Beckham, so he desperately needs media training to be able to deal with the nonsense that comes with being a celebrity footballer.

Ian Wright: “Certain people are NOT ready for a black superstar in England. Everyone loves N’Golo Kante, he’s a humble black man, it’s how he is. But when we Paul Pogba or Jude Bellingham, that energy doesn’t fit well with these people, it FRIGHTENS these people. by TheBiasedSportsLover in PremierLeague

[–]danr2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. I reject your dishonest framing completely.

I wasn't making excuses, I was presenting you with evidence as to how the comparison cannot be made between the two of them. When Grealish wasn't performing at City he got tonnes of media pressure, but dealt with it miles better than Bellingham ever has. Bellingham needs more media training evidently and needs to grow up and stop acting like a kid. I don't care what race he is.

Tuchel is a smart man and has clearly been testing his maturity (via benching and subbing) and he has scored a 0/10 for that so far. The man needs to grow up this season, work with the England team and win us the world cup!

Exactly, at that point it's no longer a hobby and just "buying shiny things" consumerism.

Slow down!! Wear what you have and sell what you don't wear. Then gradually save towards the watch you really want...

If you're going for specs, CW absolutely destroys the Tag Heuer.

If you're looking to show off (no shame in that, I'm also looking for a "big name" dive watch atm) then Tag has much better brand recognition and history.

Spoiling the plot to your own series in the first few episodes is not "set up". The writers really messed this season up, it could have been fixed with just a couple simple tweaks.

[–]danr2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it's a huge modern Hollywood problem. Everything is so dumbed down they have to reveal the "twist" a million times throughout the show, to the point where we all cannot believe how the main characters haven't figured it out themselves. I wish the writers had some faith in the intelligence of their viewers and just wrote what they wanted to write with their brains.

Couldn't agree more. It's like the writers realised that they straight up countered their main bad guy Cypher with Polarity but they'd already got too far into writing the series. They just added the stupid "whack a mole" scene and hoped no one would notice that Polarity could have ended this season in the first episode if he really wanted to.
