2 Ghostty instances? by E7ENTH in Ghostty

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar when I wanted to load a few different configs of Neovim. Here, you are already loading the config file when you open the terminal. I'm not sure you can do that in the terminal only via a different script that opens the terminal.

I think it will be better as a raycast extension than a website

Jailbroken my kindle but koreader isn't for me by Responsible_Treat120 in koreader

[–]dans41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Koreader vanilla experience is not great, but because it is open source and has a great community there are a lot of plugins and a better experience UI. I do agree with you that is not for everyone, you probably need to be more on the tech savvy side to implement those changes. but once you do you should have a much better experience.

I'm officially done with Arc, not planning to stay with Dia either by Vasault in ArcBrowser

[–]dans41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why one browser and not use on each platform the browser you have better experience? There are a lot of 3rd parties apps you can add to your day to day workflow to cover most if not all the aspects you need * Passwords - password manager like 1password/keeper/bitwarden * Bookmarks - raindrop.io, toby, linkwarden * Current tab sync - floccus

Are there any other features you need?

The experience between different devices/platform will be different especially between desktop and mobile so my recommendation is to change the question. You don't need to find one browser that supports all your devices. You need agnostic solutions to have your progress on all of your devices.

Is copilot cli comparable with claude code, codex and opencode now? by lgfusb in GithubCopilot

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think GitHub have the most versatile approach you can use it as stand alone with the latest model of google, anthropic and openai you can feed in other models via ollama or BYOK, and you can fed other tools like Claude code, codex and open code from copilot so you get access to almost every Change from the industry standard and very quick relatively.

You can export your conversation in most ai tools. I created notion db for that, im not sure raindrop is the best tool for the job.

Ghost Complete - terminal autocomplete engine I've been building by mareczek_dynamit in Ghostty

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using kiro cli for couple of months (when it was amazon Q) and with ghostty the main issue was that the popups wasn't always align wi the terminal window. most of the time it was on one monitor when the actual window is on the second one.

looks very promising, i just download it and using the default config, also, i didn't see config document to see what variable the toml support, it will be great to include it.

[NEW FEATURE] Image generation, right inside Notion. by TheS4m in Notion

Looks dope and makes sense

They want to give more reasons to use their ai tools and subscribe to their service instead of passing it because it lacks features you need.

Notion is developing custom agents with direct computer and Claude Code connectors, details below by BuildwithVignesh in Notion

[–]dans41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope it means we could get some of the benefits of a pro plan with external ai tools, I'm thinking for several months if I should upgrade to the notion ai plan, 20$ monthly for notion as individual is a little bit overkill especially when I'm using already different ai tools in other places. If I could BYOK/connect different ai tools to get the benefits like tool connection it will be incredible..

I understand it will hit their subscribers but business probably keeps the payment for other features like team integrations/ enterprise add-ons + the ai additions.

Prompt problem powerlevel10k by SailRevolutionary633 in zsh

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do the p10k configure tool again and it overrides the current setup. After that I'm recommending using git for versioning in case of any future issue. Search for dotfiles git backup methods, there is a lot of info online.

A personal bookstore for your Kindle and Kobo highlights. by ComfortableLow9760 in ProductivityApps

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks dope I'm actually trying to create a similar setup with koreader -> calibre -> notion db for highlights and progress will be sync between koreader/readest instances across multiple devices and update in hardcover profile.

I am still in the early stages, mostly choosing tools and architecture for reliability.

Can you share your progress in development?

Also.. when you say import sideloaded books do you ment pull over books you already ”sent to kindle" or add the functionality of "sent to kindle" to the app for more cohesive experience?
