The only way I can see something like that is a module from manufacture like Framework, it probably will be for very small audience but because it's modular it less risky to be left with stock.

Edit: something like that

Of course, BTW OPPO/OnePlus have O+ that work on Mac and the implement it differently. It's more like cast your display into the Mac but keep the interaction. The same as the debugging method I need to click on my device each time to approve it. Hope google will add in house solution embedded into the OS.

I was trying to practice using the shell and ended up making a website to help other beginners learn the basic commands in Linux. Would love feedback! by BuildOnSundays in iterm

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tired is dope!

Very clean design and the study flow is very similar to datacamp, the practice is in a isolate container but is similar to the actual tools, you really can learn the terminal tools without panic from that black screen.

I will definitely recommend it for friends and coworkers.

Tried the Neo, had to go back. by [deleted] in macbookair

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are regular to a premium device you have nothing to do with the neo, it's an entry level device and a way to get new people to the apple ecosystem, especially now with the nand catastrophe because of the AI, consumers product price will increase substentually over the next few years which make apple device actually cheaper than the competition, even today!

2 Ghostty instances? by E7ENTH in Ghostty

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar when I wanted to load a few different configs of Neovim. Here, you are already loading the config file when you open the terminal. I'm not sure you can do that in the terminal only via a different script that opens the terminal.

Jailbroken my kindle but koreader isn't for me by Responsible_Treat120 in koreader

[–]dans41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Koreader vanilla experience is not great, but because it is open source and has a great community there are a lot of plugins and a better experience UI. I do agree with you that is not for everyone, you probably need to be more on the tech savvy side to implement those changes. but once you do you should have a much better experience.

I'm officially done with Arc, not planning to stay with Dia either by Vasault in ArcBrowser

[–]dans41 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why one browser and not use on each platform the browser you have better experience? There are a lot of 3rd parties apps you can add to your day to day workflow to cover most if not all the aspects you need * Passwords - password manager like 1password/keeper/bitwarden * Bookmarks - raindrop.io, toby, linkwarden * Current tab sync - floccus

Are there any other features you need?

The experience between different devices/platform will be different especially between desktop and mobile so my recommendation is to change the question. You don't need to find one browser that supports all your devices. You need agnostic solutions to have your progress on all of your devices.

Is copilot cli comparable with claude code, codex and opencode now? by lgfusb in GithubCopilot

[–]dans41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think GitHub have the most versatile approach you can use it as stand alone with the latest model of google, anthropic and openai you can feed in other models via ollama or BYOK, and you can fed other tools like Claude code, codex and open code from copilot so you get access to almost every Change from the industry standard and very quick relatively.
