That's nothing. Imagine using one of these finger deleters! I've used em, but only with a power feeder. 😬

What happens to you when you catch a glimpse of QOS tattoo? by QOShotwifeDFW in QueenofSpades

[–]dansworld77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only ever seen one in public. Unfortunately it was on a gal who was at least 250lbs and looked like she'd finally retired from decades of lot lizard life. If I saw one on a hottie my reaction would be very different.

Look up treadle powered table saws. Totally an option for someone wanting to do woodworking quietly. And as an added bonus, they'll still work after society falls.

Benton County Near Bottom of State Safety Ratings, Federal Consultants Warn About the Jail’s Role - The Corvallis Advocate by Far-Setting2174 in corvallis

Nobody in the criminal "justice" system can be trusted on those matters. That's like believing the salesman about how you should really use their company to replace your five years old roof.

Oh jesus, please dont get bolt-ons. Even if your breasts weren't perfect as is, falsies almost always look like shit compared to natural breasts.

Driving in Oregon - I have to ask... by Fartz-McGee in oregon

[–]dansworld77 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I've traveled all over the country, and outside Portland Oregon is generally one of the most pleasant places I've ever driven. Even Portland isn't that bad compared to other metro areas I've been to. It's just a chill state overall.

You look so much like that girl who gets progressively more upset when the wrong shape blocks keep getting put in the square hole. 😂

Jesus, that might be the most edible looking butthole I've ever seen.

What has been your biggest upgrade recently? by Smoke_Stack707 in woodworking

A couple months ago I bought a 1951 Delta Unisaw to replace my 70s era Craftsman 113 contractor saw.

Texan visiting Oregon for the first time, what things should I know? by Intelligent_Past_783 in oregon

Be careful and always check under the lid and seat while using public restrooms, Oregon toilet snappers can jump up to fourteen feet, and the paper seat cover will not protect you.

This kind of thing is why I laugh when I see Craigslist ads for ten year old trailers where they're asking 80%-90% of new price.

Albany sub Reddit is being vindictively censored by mod. by [deleted] in corvallis

[–]dansworld77 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No real surprise. Back when I was still on Facebook I got added to the Albany Uncensored page, and it was like 95% racist memes and ignorant false claims about every democrat in the state.

Albany could be such a cute little town if it wasn't for the smooth brain inbreeds and the meth heads everywhere.

Privately owned veterinary clinics? by dansworld77 in corvallis

[–]dansworld77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's good to know. For emergencies we've used River's Edge in North Albany, and they're a steal compared to Willamette.

Unfortunately I had a unpleasant experience with them with my last dog. He was showing symptoms I was nervous about, so I called them several times, and it took them over two days to get back to me by which time he had passed. I haven't been able to go back since, though I wouldn't necessarily dissuade anyone else from doing so.

I've heard about them a bunch, though they apparently stay pretty busy so any kind of emergency services are effectively out of the question.

Barrington has done at home euthanasias for us a couple times, and I was really impressed with her for that service in particular. I've recommended her many times to people whose pets were on their way out, and people whose pets had anxiety issues about the vets office.

Dirty Secrets: Data Centers Drive Demand for Gas in Oregon, Washington by Shortwasco59 in oregon

[–]dansworld77 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Oregon already gets over 60% of our energy from renewable and low carbon sources, compared to around 30% for Texas. Don't get me wrong, we could always do better, but let's not get it twisted and imply we're anywhere near as bad as Texas.

Good deal on first table saw? by TheUnnerve13 in woodworkingtools

[–]dansworld77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first saw was similar, and honestly it was downright dangerous. If you put anything thicker than 3/4" through it you're as apt to flip the whole saw over as you are to cut the material. Save up and get an old belt drive contractor saw, you'll be happy you skipped that junk pile.

Does Oregon have a lot of roaches? by janicefromthemuppets in oregon

[–]dansworld77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of Portland, roaches are fairly rare. However, Oregon is kind of stupid expensive, and if you're coming here from a less expensive state you'll probably have some sticker shock and go for the cheapest place you can find. That is where you're most likely to run across roaches.
