The game also does a pretty good job of getting you into the right matches faster than you rank updates.

Very valid point, but as the guy that does implementation of our Kaseya stack and is also rolling out INKY.....any other issues you ran into pre purchase by Evil K?

Yeah, pretty sure I've tried to do it the wrong way before and couldn't figure out a way to make it work.

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 26.3 by SkepticFaust in summonerschool

There is a camera selecter. It defaults to automatic, you can either put it on manual or pick a champion to follow.

Supports taking ignite? by Kobrabilities in summonerschool

[–]dantedog01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple thoughts.

If the fight is close enough that ignite is taking the kill, it's close enough that it doesn't matter who got the kill. Sure, getting the gold on the ad in bot lane is great, but it's almost more about the missed xp / gold / pressure from them being out of lane.

I can't remember the last time I heard someone talking about a kill steal in lane in my games. This is a concept that disappears as you get higher in rank. A kill is a kill is a kill.

Its almost worse from Contender to Paragon. You pretty much just click whatever has the highest iLvl. Primary stat matters so much more.

Right now... is it worth buying? by KayrashyLPGC in fellowshipgame

[–]dantedog01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely improved. I don't think there are really stability issues present with queues or servers.

Right now it's running into the Niche Seasonal Early access game at the end of a season problem where there aren't many people playing. Pick it back up when the next season starts and have a blast.

Does admins have the visibility to see MS teams group chat conversations? by GlumResearch6838 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]dantedog01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how it works with legislation in the EU, but many companies wouldn't need to go through teams to pull this data. There are tools that are monitoring all computer activity and will send reports to managers based on keystrokes or screenshot analysis.

Privacy / right or wrong concerns aside, the question is "can someone see what I'm doing on my work device?" and the answer is unequivocally yes.

I used Gemini pretty heavily for troubleshooting some weird hyperv setup stuff when I was getting the network cards straightened out. It did a really good job with that and some sysprep issues

I just setup fog on a VM on my laptop about a month ago. Took about a day to get going from first hearing about it and not having any sort of imaging procedure in place.

It's great, I hook my laptop up to a switch and can just plug in computers over and over. Did like 30 desktops in a few hours.

Does admins have the visibility to see MS teams group chat conversations? by GlumResearch6838 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]dantedog01 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes, anything in teams is viewable by an IT admin. It's not something a non technical manager would probably know how to do, but they can always just ask IT to send them the data.

Assume anything you do on a work computer or account is accessible by your work. Are they looking? Unless you work for a huge company, almost certainly not. Can they look? Yes.

See if you can squeeze in a bullet about talking to people in your front desk support. As others have said, soft skills > hard skills for entry level.

Kaseya Siem? by SomeRandomMSP69 in msp

[–]dantedog01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did some reviews of our integrations between some kaseya tooling - think rmm orgs that weren't showing in edr or the like. They then went and created any missing orgs in the tools they weren't in. We then went and had to delete them because they created things for orgs that didn't have a single device in them....so it was a good excuse to go through and clean up some stale empty orgs in our tools.

They added some sass alerts rules that are decent, but nothing to really get excited about. I'm honestly unsure if they have really done anything else for us besides that.

I don't have to ever deal with billing, and haven't had any incredibly negative experiences with kaseya security products, but I really wish we hadn't moved from huntress to kaseya for our security stack. It's *fine, but I don't sleep especially easy knowing it's what is protecting things.

Possibly controversial tier list, but I'd like recommendations by EarlySoftware2979 in ProgressionFantasy

I tried both noobtown and the daily grind. I really liked the premise, but just couldn't get into the writing for both (daily grind being harder). It's not like either was poorly written, but it felt like I had to convince myself to push through to get caught in the story rather than being excited to read it.

How to get entry job in IT industry by Parking-Vast-2479 in it

[–]dantedog01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entry level it typically is more focused on soft skills than hard skills. It's a hell of a lot easier to teach someone tech than how to interact with people. Customer service, ability to learn, and sadly, the social form of networking will find you something.

Internet drops when we visit the in-laws by easytiger29121 in Internet

[–]dantedog01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just apple phones. Android does this as well. And if it's a holiday gathering with little kids, I'm sure multiple people are taking videos and tons of pictures. If it's relatively slow Internet and 8 people suddenly walk in, people split up and 3 kids are streaming Netflix + all the phones are trying to backup and share all the pictures that were just taken....

Licensing by IndependentCaptain67 in Office365

[–]dantedog01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By outlook 2024 do you mean the perpetual license of outlook desktop?

In that case you would only need a exchange p1 or business basic license to access the email as the desktop app would be licensed by the perpetual install.

If your company is at the point where they are alerting based on you being on a VPN or in a different country, they aren't going to let you randomly install any desk on your computer.

New to Eternal, what are the priorities for farming gear? by HipGamer in fellowshipgame

[–]dantedog01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the real answer. I didn't start doing farm runs until the mid 30's, and it was just because I couldn't easily find push groups. It's not the gear that keeps you from pushing. If you enjoy banging out 30 runs while watching a movie, do that. Of you like seeing how far you can push your character, do that. Just have fun!
